I had heard that Arts Automotive also worked on BMW's so I went down there to have them help me with a perceived oil leak that a big dealer in Beaverton claimed I had. On a cold start-up, you could smell what I thought was burning oil, and the Big Dealer claimed that they made a notation about it on my recent oil change. If this was true, why didn't they tell me when I picked up my car. I checked my paperwork they gave me and it mentioned nothing about a leak. but they would be happy to charge me $500 to $1100 dollars to repair it. But I digress... I took it to Art's and his technician only found a small weeping on the back of a valve cover gasket, and not serious enough to merit tearing it apart to fix. Not only that, but he found several items under the hood that were just laying there where someone forgot to replace them. They put her back together and after driving it all day yesterday, there was no oil smell at all. They spent a good 45 minutes working on my car, but charged me nothing because they didn't repair or replace anything (other than a few pieces that were loose under the hood). I am very impressed with this service, and I'll return to have their Tech do future work on my car. Art's Service Adviser, and Technician are a firm step above a place in Beaverton that counts on a very open wallet for their services with no thought to the customer. Respectfully Fred H.

My husband is on his way right now to get our car. The blower is not working. He dropped it off early this morning. They said they would have it fixed today only... they have no idea what has been done to it because the technician working on it disappeared and did not communicate to anyone what he did on it. This is awesome with over 100 degree days coming. My husband wasted his whole day off for this. It cost us money to get him a ride home and back to get the car. "I don't know what to tell you" is all the person on the phone had to say. Thanks for nothing. I will update when I know more about what happened. It is just bad business. They used to be so good. UPDATE** Apparently the problem with it was diagnosed before the tech left but nothing was communicated. No one called us, no one told us what was going on. They told my husband after the fact that they have a shuttle he could have taken instead of paying for a cab. (would have been good information before he left) They want over $500 for the repair now and it is obviously not done and is going to take more time. My husband just took it home. Too much confusion, not enough communication. Super unprofessional. To bad. :(

My Honda Ridgeline transmission started acting up. I took it to a transmission shop where they told me that the transmission is fine, but something else is not working. Arts diagnosed it, replaced the control computer and transmission now works well again. Thanks Art's!

Great work at a fair price. I was going to have my timing belt changed according to my owners manual (2013 Subaru). I received a call from Patrick Marsh letting me know that halfway into the production year Subaru changed the belt to a chain.. Patrick saved me a great deal of money.. I feel that some if not most shops would have taken my money and said "sucker". Arts Automotive is honest and trustworthy.. heck they are the Boy Scouts of auto repair.. You can trust them.. A+++++
