Avenues Pet Clinic,
owned and operated by Dr. Brenda Ponce, has been serving the Salt Lake community for the last twelve years.

Its convenient location to downtown, the University area, the Avenues, Federal Heights, and Sugarhouse, makes it an ideal choice for Greater Salt Lake area residents.

At Avenues Pet Clinic,
we treat your pets with compassion and knowledge. Our experienced staff can provide wellness exams, vaccinations, diagnostic services, surgery and dental care for your precious animals.

At Avenues Pet Clinic, your pet is our family. Please visit us or call for an appointment today.
Appointment times available Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 11:00 am & 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
Saturday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Please Note: Procedures other than exams, such as dental cleaning and sterilization, are scheduled between the hours of 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. When one of these procedures is scheduled, you will need to drop your pet off between the hours of 7:30 and 9:00 am and pick them up after the procedure up until 6:00 pm.

We do not board pets. We do, however, hospitalize pets in need of this service during treatment.

I love this vet clinic. Dr. Ponce and her staff have given my 2 cats great care over the past few years. One of my cats was recently diagnosed with diabetes and they have been diligent about following up on how he is doing. They even offer to come and do home blood draws (he needs them approx. once a week while we figure out medication dosage) bc my cat gets very stressed going into the office. They are also very reasonable with billing. They recognize that our pets are very important to us, and will offer pricing adjustments when a lot of vet care is needed. Overall great medical care and great customer service - I highly recommend! If you are impatient, inflexible and lack an understanding that things with animals don't go as planned, this is not the place for you. Try a place that will overcharge you for hand-holding and babysitting.

Horrible experience. I scheduled a 5pm checkup appointment for my cat. 5:20pm rolls around, and I am still waiting. I ask the receptionist how much longer, and he said there are still 3 other people in front of me...what?? He said there were a lot of emergency appointments today which I understand, but they should have called me to reschedule. I left, but if I had stayed I would have waited for a minimum of 45 minutes (maybe longer) to even get my cat into the exam room. I can't imagine how long the entire appointment would have taken. Not to be overly dramatic, but vet appointments are stressful for cats and waiting rooms often have barking dogs and other loud noises (this one certainly did). It is important to me for my vet office to take appointment times seriously. Would not recommend.

This is my first time owning a cat. I adopted him from the humane society and Avenues Pet clinic was on their partner list for a free check up. -When I first took him in they told me he had a respiratory infection and that I needed to pay for medication. After two weeks he still had the infection and all they did was tell me his sneezing was from him adjusting to my home. Every time I brought him in they would clean the "wax" out of his ears and charge me for the cleaning. Often times making his ears more itchy and sometimes bloody. At my first appointment at my new vet I come to find out he has yeast and bacterial infections in his ears (Avenues did not check for those) and now he has permanent damage in his nasal cavity from the respiratory infection that they did not properly treat. I would never have taken my cat here if I knew that they would not treat him the way he should have been. On a side note, I found out he has a heart murmur on my first visit here and the vet basically told me if I didn't get him x-rays immediately he will have a heart attack and die. Very disappointing!! 0/5 stars. DON'T GO HERE

What can you say it's a vet clinic, I didn't have any problems while I was here, but it's not exactly a 5-star Pet Palace. If you are looking for quality service without a lot of frills that's where you want to go.

The staff here is wonderful, they make me feel like they love my pup as much as I do.
