I made a reservation online and since we had a different situation we called the morning of our reservation to make sure everything was good to go. We were assured that it was. We went to the Tucson Airport location to pick up the rental and the man behind the counter (older man with white hair and no name tag) was EXTREMELY rude and insulting. He made snide comments about every answer to the questions he was asking. I asked him why the people on the phone had told us everything was good to go and he interrupted me saying, "Becuase they're jerks and I'm telling you no."  He rolled his eyes and literally said, "We're done. I can't help you." I said, "sir, you have been extremely rude to us." His response was, "Yeah, have a nice day, you're still not getting a car." WHO does that to people in customer service?! We were polite and patient and I was completely blown away by the level of horrible customer service and lack of professionalism this man had.

The customer service at Budget/Avis at the Sears Auto Mall was exceptional. They made sure to have all our vans ready for pick up. We had rented from other agencies in the past, and we would have to wait for long periods of time while experiencing mediocre customer service. We will be renting from Budget/Avis frequently, and I highly recommend it for all your rental needs.

Everything about the experience was fine till we got out of the car the first time. that is when we discovered the back seat has full of short dog hair that covered the clothes of the back seat passenger and the fleece jackets we put back there. We mentioned this to our agent when we returned the and we were refunded a 10 dollar amount and it showed up as 25 dollar amount so that is some help but should not have happened to begin with.

Rented a VW Jetta one way from Tucson to Santa Ana, CA. 

Our Friday mid-morning pick-up was delayed by about 10 minutes; when we arrived there was no one at the counter and a couple of drop-offs were also waiting. Apparently, they only have one agent because this location (counter) is at the Tucson Mall Sears. However, the prepaid rental transaction went smoothly and quickly once underway, and didn't entail a multi-page rental agreement that I remember from other rental agencies. I might add that its been years since my last rental. The ride was great! And drop-off was quick and courteous as well.
