The campground owners did an excellent job in reserving our site and making sure everything was to our satisfaction. There are various full-timers and seasonal folks, and they were the friendliest I've ever met. This CG is next to Lake Champlain so it has some beautiful views from nearby trails, has very little noise from children (no offense to parents), and is very clean and well maintained. They've been around 21 years! Sites were level and spacious, and easy to get in and out. Perfect place to stay to explore the Adirondacks!

I was seasonal here for many years. But unfortunately I live to far away now to be seasonal. I returned this year for a one week stay. It is still as beautiful, clean and friendly as it always was. You dont find a campground this nice very often if ever.

My wife and my 4 daughters and I were on a camping trip. We reserved a spot for one night at Barbers homestead park. . We paid in full ahead of time. We were on our way and realized that we were going to arrive late. My wife called to give a courtesy to let them know we were going to arrive late. The response to my wife was" that is unacceptable. You will just have to pull off somewhere." In other words they cancelled our reservation. I called them back and requested a refund. They responded "no way". After multiple times of calling them back I was hung up on or just plain ignored. Finally after hours of calling them back I was able to convince them that they needed to refund my money. They have sent me a check, however they retained a cancellation fee. Seeing how they cancelled my reservation I feel as though they should pay me a cancellation fee. * Please note there is no where in the website or information they sent me that stated no after hours check in.

We stayed 6 nights and paid $38/night. No tax. If you pay for 6 nights, you get the 7th free but unfortunately we couldn't stay the full 7 nights. Reservation process was easy and check-in efficient. We were led to our site which was level and spacious. We recommend to unhook your toad by the office. All hook-ups worked perfectly. Wifi was better than most campgrounds. Verizon cell and Verizon wifi worked well. We had a clear sky for DirecTV signal. We found this campground to be a slice of heaven. The owners are lovely. There are many seasonals. By "seasonal", I'm referring to folks who live within a few hours and keep a camper here for use as a summer home. All campers are clean and well-kept including pretty flowers and landscaping. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. There is a large grassy area for volleyball, badminton, etc (equipment is free to use). We enjoyed the beautiful grounds and our partial view of Lake Champlain. Barber Homestead was exactly what we needed at exactly the right time. We're so glad to have discovered it and would love to return one day (and next time we'll stay much longer!). Highly recommend.

The owner Billy was very helpful with dinning suggestions. The park was very clean and well taken care of. The bathrooms were spotless. We had been in several campgrounds on our week vacation and Barber homestead was by far the best. We'll be back!
