Story

Barton’s Flowers and Gifts opened under the ownership of Jan and Cheryl Barton in August, 1982 as a small three room flower and gift shop. Having a strong foundation in Christian beliefs, Jan and Cheryl knew that they had the hope and desire to grow their business. Within two years of opening, Barton’s Flowers and Gifts acquired the nine room store front, now located at 311 S. 2nd Avenue, and have served our community for over 30 years.

Jan and Cheryl not only grew their business but their family as well. The Barton’s were blessed with four children: Tyler, Corrine, Hillary, and Hailey, who were proud to be part of their family business.

After graduating from Elizabeth Forward High School in 2007, Hillary and Hailey attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania to pursue Art Education and Family and Consumer Sciences. Upon graduation of college, their dreams of owning a bakery with their education, skills and prior experience in a retail bakery, went from being a dream to a reality.

Hillary and Hailey’s unique assortment of cookies, cakes, donuts, pastries, pies, and seasonal confections stay true to their traditional family recipes. Whether it is something decadently chocolate, moist and delicious, soft and chewy, rich and creamy or lightly sweet and flaky, we have a sweet treat to satisfy any sweet tooth!!!

Hillary and Hailey with the love and support of their father and mother have joined together in making their family business grow once again. By combining the floral shop attributes and their love of baking, Barton’s Flowers and Gifts has now expanded to Barton’s Flowers and Bake Shop, LLC.
