Yes they are close to the hwy and yes there is a train that runs along the hwy. We are use to train noise so this didn't bother us. This particular KOA served our over night stay without complaint. Amy was super nice ! No this isn't a resort type KOA , like west glacier Mt but it served our purpose, weary travelers who just needed sleep and hot shower. I do have to say the abandoned water park doesn't make a good impression and would make a better first impression if it was cleaned up but I don't know if this particular KOA even owns that land.

Unbelievably clean for a rest area and no wait. This is a scenic spot to stop also a great place to stop if you had animals.

Beautiful campground in a wonderful location close to a sweet little town. We've been many places and this by far is the best. The train is unnoticeable after a day and the people who run it are amazing! Come as strangers leave as friends! Hope to make it back here again!

Arrived at 11:00 pm last night at this campground and our late check-in papers were at the night desk for us with our site number. The KOA website DID NOT make any mention of the Interstate highway being next to the campground nor did it mention the freight train tracks next to the freeway. The train blows its whistle several times on approaching and it sounds like it's parked next door in the camp site it's so loud. So needless to say we didn't get much sleep. My confirmation email as well as the KOA check-in paperwork said check-out time was 10:00 am which I've never heard of in any campground ever. So we packed up early in order to get out of there by 10:00 am. I went into the office to buy ice and return the restroom access cards. The female employee (may have been the one referred to in other reviews!) asked how my stay was... WRONG QUESTION LADY!!! I said well, it looks like we arrived too late to take advantage of your ear plugs I see you offer. Her reply was oh, what was the problem? REALLY?!! I said well, the trains and the freeway right next door would be the problem. She said oh that's odd, everyone else this morning said they didn't hear any trains, they must not have been running and they slept great!!! Calling me a liar or what's your point? HOW RIDICULOUSLY RUDE !! So I asked why such an early checkout time. Her reply was 11 am?? I said no, your paperwork and my confirmation email said 10!! She said oh that's wrong, it's been changed and that's old!!! I WOULD HAVE SLEPT BETTER BACK DOWN THE ROAD AT THE REST AREA AND SAVED THE MONEY!! I gave it "one star" as that was the lowest possible. Definitely not KOA standards!!!

Well-established grass and mature trees provide shade and cooling. Small friendly campground. Good service from Amy at check-in. Easy to get to right off the interstate 90, but some highway noise. Traffic sounds cut back at night. Trains!
