My fiance and I went in to get her fitted on her current road bike and look at new bikes since she has had hers for years now and was thinking about upgrading. It was one hour to close. The employee in the store told us that he couldn't fit her or show her new bikes because they were busy and didn't have time to do it before close. Now, I understand not being able to do both, but employees should offer solutions like we can show you new bikes and if you like it you can come in and do a fitting for both bikes. But instead he insisted we "come back during the week when the store is less busy". That isn't a solution, especially when we have spent thousands of dollars at bike barn in the past few years. After that incident, we decided not to go back. Prior to that i had purchased a new specialized road bike. I have 10 miles on the bike and now I have a cracked rim to no fault of my own. Now I am in the process of getting that resolved. We sent an email yesterday, hopefully their response can change my opinion of their customer service but right now I can not recommend this location at least. This is my first Google review, I never get to this point of frustration.

I ordered a brand new bike from Bike Barn West U (per a recommendation from Zack, who has EXCELLENT customer service) and was really excited to get on the road when it finally arrived. My spirits were soon crushed when I was having shifting problems. I brought the bike back to the store and the manager, Mickey, immediately started moving towards a resolution. He scheduled an appointment with one of their top mechanics, Scott, to take a look at the bike and correct any issues. Scott was very professional and spent a few hours with me and the bike to make sure that I was squared away. He fixed the shifting issue and gave me lots of great advice on bike maintenance as well. I am very pleased with my experience at Bike Barn West U and would recommend this shop to anyone!

I will never ever buy a bike here again, and I ride as a Ride Marshall for the MS150. I bought a Trek Project 1 custom bike here well over 10 thousand dollars about a year or so ago. I haven't even rode it less than 25 miles on it and the frame cracks while dismounting on it. Upon purchasing it my salesperson says, "Trek has a great warranty for any manufacturer defect." I brought it thinking no problem this should be covered obviously they will see I never rode it and not even one scratch on the bike. It has been a nightmare dealing with these people here. They never call you back and give you any answers. They are kind and nice upon purchasing, but when have warranty issues they are very DISHONEST. After two weeks waiting upon my new bike frame damage. I get the news sorry, Trek will not cover your damaged frame. They said something about being crushed. Omg, can you make any more dumber excuse than that. There are no damages or scratches on my bike, but that's how they called it. So they are liars here at Bike Barn and Trek is a bad company to buy a bike from. After, I write this I will contact the BBB about the lies Bike Barn told me about my warranty of my new bike.

Went in for repairs to my town hack bike, got it fixed up dirt cheap and the repairs were done right. Dannye was awesome and ran me through the repairs and cost for everything. I needed the gears indexed, wheel trued, $20, quick and resonable. The place looks posh, but my cycling friends told me they are good with repairs, and in my experience they're the best in Houston. Don't waste your time and money in other shops, go here.
