The food was fabulous. Each dish was so thoughtfully and so creatively put together. Lobster and cantaloupe!!! The service was so on point. We told them we had a show and they were on top of it but never felt rushed at all. Ambiance in the 200 yr old house was so romantic and sweet. A hard to please customer is very happy.

Ok, this food was amazing. Service was great. Experience overall, top notch. Flavors we're interesting and fresh both from the perspective of the produce and the culinary ideas. May be my new favorite spot. As a point of reference, if you like the Apollo Grill, as I do, I'd say this is a tier above in "foodie factor", but with fewer options. And, sometimes in life, fewer options is a good thing, especially when you can't make a bad choice.

Have always loved Bolete in the past, the food is amazing, the rotating seasonal menu is always interesting and well balanced. Unfortunately our last experience went poorly. We made reservations for a Wednesday (our anniversary) and mentioned in the open table reseating that it was our anniversary and that we were interested in the tasting menu with wine pairing. I received a call that morning confirming the reservation and our specifications. We arrived ten minutes early to a packed restaurant and waited for about twenty minutes in the vestibule. All the diners around us had drinks with minimal food on tables. After waiting and noticing that no food was coming out we decided to go somewhere else. We felt there was no way that we were going to get the best out of a tasting menu with a kitchen that was that behind. Disappointed is hardly the word. It seems that they are simply trying to do too many covers for their kitchen size. Unfortunately it may be a while before I try it again.

Phenomenal experience. Some of the freshest and most delicious food I've ever tasted. Took my mother there for mother's day - I had the duck and she had the scallops. Both were excellent - the duck particularly was unlike any I'd had before, without any trace of the familiar greasiness that sometimes accompanies duck. The scallops had a few grains of sand, but I suppose that is unavoidable - otherwise they were cooked perfectly. The local, fresh peas added to both dishes. We shared the cheeseboard to start, which was well-balanced and was served well by the apple butter accompaniment. A couple notes - while the food is worth the high price tag, the cocktails were not. Perhaps stick with wine or beer - on that week Tired Hands, which is a fantastic Main Line brewery, was on tap. Our cocktails were unbalanced and small for $14. Additionally, I would agree with some other reviewers that there is a significant dearth of staff knowledge of descriptions for drinks, wines, dishes, cheeses, etc that you would not expect at this caliber of restaurant. That needs to be an area of focus going forward. (I also think they need to be in something dressier than jeans, but that's a personal gripe). For anyone complaining about the small entryway - calm down, accept that it adds to the charm, and make fast friends with fellow hungry guests. Overall, well done Bolete.

You can't go to a better place in the Lehigh Valley. Prices are higher than your average place, but the experience is exponentially better. Everyone owes themself one trip to Bolete; more if able.
