Absolutely magnificent! Just visited the Orchid Show and I am impressed beyond words. As soon as I stepped inside the exhibition, I knew I was in for a treat. Palm trees are my favorite trees, and orchids my favorite flowers. This show consists of an artistic array of both, a myriad of species and colors. And just when I thought I'd seen it all, there was Rainforest Desert, with more palms, a great variety of cactus types and other exotic plants ! Throughout this long and exciting trek, restrooms abound, so nothing rushes you out. ( And they are very clean. ) The long water pond with the goddesses fountain is my favorite spot. I sat there in a meditative state, taking in the beauty surrounding me. I made a pledge to not only come back to the Orchid show every year, but to also visit all other exhibitions. And I can't wait for summer, to see those gigantic waterlilies outside. Great place! Only positives

The place to reconnect with nature and all its splendor. The New York Botanical Garden has year round events and shows. This April was the Orchid show which also offers evening viewing. During the winter they have the Holiday train show which is a must see for the entire family. These are but a few of the events and the grounds themselves are gorgeous and worth several days of exploration during every season.

Gorgeous park that inspires me personally! The walks are organized and orchids are stunning! Plenty of reaching pine trees that are developed and older, I enjoyed the time of day we visited because the colors were magnified by the sunlight and the sun setting. The majestic greenhouse is pleasant to stroll in especially in the winter time while looking out from the warm rooms within. I'd love to come back here during a snowstorm! Beautiful!!

Must see if you come to NY state. Amazing huge natural park. It has an conservatory for different plants from various habitats. You can also enjoy a walk in one of the many walkways. Explore forest-like places with a waterfall and a river. They also have observatories for roses and other types of flowers. They offer tram tour or you can just explore it by feet. If you choose to explore by feet, you can ask for a tour guide. They have restaurants, cafes, and gift shop. Take a lot of pictures! Optimum times to visit late april, beginning of may, early September. For foliage scenes, go late October.

The orchid show is always splendid every year. This was the first time doing the night showing, was so happy I did. Wife and I had an excellent time and wonderful experience. Added bonus was the various fantastic restaurant's in the surrounding area. Would say go early for a regular day or date, them hit Blue, or Antonio's Trattoria. Blue is Mediterranean, with awesome grilled octopus, Antonio's is Italian, with superb fried artichoke hearts.
