I drove past here for years and finally stopped in for some soul food. It was awesome. I got pork ribs, mac n cheese and the beans plus corn bread. Got 2 meals out of it and my belly was happy. I left the guys a new TV stand, too! Worth searching this place out. The fried chicken looked amazing, too.

True southern food done the right way. The fried catfish and hush puppies were spot on. The ribs were delicious but I recommend getting the BBQ sauce on the side because they use a ton of it. Great sides. Don't go expecting fast service. The food comes out as it's done. And it's made to order. The owner seems to be a really nice guy.

My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try because we love us some good, home cooked food. We were kind of skeptical because it’s hard to find good bbq/soul food in the desert and this place is kind of small and hidden. Boy were we pleasantly surprised!! Their food is delicious and you can tell it’s made with love. I had the fried chicken (it came with corn bread) and my sides were collard greens and red beans and rice. They seasoned everything so well I thought I was back in the South/East. The chicken was crispy, tender, and fresh. The collards and red beans were yummy and the cornbread was moist and warm. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. They even let us watch tv! The boyfriend and I will definitely be returning. We got peach cobbler to-go because we were so full and I know it going to be on point. Thank you Brown’s!!

Not the fanciest joint (no problem to me!) And it could be a little hard to find,  BUT the food is ON POINT! Mr. Brown sir, THANK YOU for some amazing fried chicken, greens, mac-n-cheese, red beans & rice, and cornbread!!! 
Service felt like I was at someones home, and the food is STRAIGHT SOUL in the desert!

The food is amazing!

Don't let the appearance of the area fool you, there is just a great vibe, attitude and plate awaiting beyond the door. Prices are going up, but Mr. Brown is sure to not skimp on taste or portions. If your group is bigger than 4, be prepared to sit at separate tables. Yup, it's that small. FYI, fried chicken is cooked to order so come with plenty of time!

By the way, if you are into cooperative economics there is also a barbershop and tattoo parlor on the same lot. 

Worth the bite And worth the buck!
