I don't understand why this place has a 2.8 rating. They gave me a choice of vehicle I wanted. The staff was awesome to me. It was quick and easy to rent. If I'm ever back in New Orleans I will definitely come back to Budget rental car.

A no-problem rental. The counter is located about 3-minute walk from the terminal and is open 24 hours which was a relief given a delayed landing time of 3am. The car was clean and ran well. Returning the vehicle was easy and the overall rate was reasonable.

Underhanded hidden fees and customer service that couldn't care less. 
I reserved a car for a day from this location. My meeting before the pick up finished earlier than I anticipated, so I showed up at the location an hour early. The agent at the counter said that there was no problem and set me up with the car. He failed to mention that I would be charged ALMOST AN ENTIRE DAY'S RATE for having showed up an hour early and returning the car at the time that was agreed to in the reservation. Called the customer service number and the agent couldn't have cared less and had an attitude of, 'We're a massive corporation and you're a little nobody customer. We don't care if you have a problem with our charges.' I asked to speak to a supervisor. He put me on hold for a few minutes and told me that a supervisor was not available and that they would give me a call back. No call back was ever received. I'm pretty sure that is a violation of FCC regulations. But, what do they care, right?

This has been just another episode in a string of very negative encounters with Budget. I stopped using Budget for my business a few years ago and am right now renting 15 vehicles from Enterprise for our field operations. Unfortunately, Enterprise did not have vehicles available this time, otherwise I would have gone with them.

STAY AWAY FROM BUDGET/AVIS

Despite mixed reviews, some of them discouraging my confidence with this company, I have continued to use them for the third year running. Most recently for my family holiday in August. 

They have always been the most affordable company I have used in the USA and the most accommdating when collecting my rental. Even when they didn't have the car I reserved (Chevrolet Suburban), they promised they would get one delivered to my hotel the following morning as they where expecting one back that evening. They did however have to put me into a 15 seater Ford Transit just to get my family and I on our way. The Suburban did arrive the following morning by 9am and they even gave me a generous discount for the inconvenience.

So far, my experiences have been a pleasant one. Cheers Karmen.

I booked my rental with Southwest airlines to this rental, the process was simple, I came in with ID and they pull up my confirmation, ten minutes later I was seating in my car driving off, return was simple, check out, walked to the airport to take my flight. Lived it, loved it!
