Love this place. Great peeps. I use them for service frequently. no issues with special parts orders or servicing of late model forks and shocks. Have rented bikes here too for out of town guests.

The second star is purely for the courteousness of the staff. The owner, on the other hand, missed out on a customer for life. I just moved here from Illinois, and the great online reviews led me straight to Cactus. These guys are so good that they had a perfect fit for me, in store, on memorial day weekend. Unfortunately, that model (the Felt V110F, which is soon to be obsolete in lieu of the 2016 models), was not among the bikes part of the memorial weekend sale. I don't walk into a respectable bicycle shop looking for 50% off an older model bike. But, at least 8 other models in the store were marked at 10% off. So, that's exactly what I asked her for: 10%. I got a firm "no" with an unreasonable explanation--apparently she couldn't mark it down because that bike is hard to get a hold of--and quite frankly, this was communicated to me over the phone, which made it all the more impersonal. I asked her employees to tell her I would walk out with that bike, a helmet, and a car rack for only 10% off of the bike. The bottom line is that people go shopping on memorial day weekend expecting sale prices. This is not the weekend to be paying full price for anything. Needless to say, Cactus is a good shop with great products, but it's not a place that wants to earn your trust. I can't justify bringing my bike in for a tune-up service, let alone purchasing from them when there are several great shops in the valley, when I couldn't even negotiate the bike below my budget.

Quick bike arrival. They thought of everything...hydration, helmet, excellent bike sized just for my short frame. Reasonably priced too. highly recommend!!!

The customer service is always great, but I would not have my bike serviced here again. I was having problems with my shifters not catching, and I was going to Big Bear the following weekend so I wanted everything to be solid on my bike. I explained the issues when I dropped it off, and they said it could be due to dirt build up; if not, a general cleaning wasn't going to fix it. When I picked the bike up the shifters seemed slightly better, so I figured it was a larger problem and they did all that they could. Fast forward a couple weeks. They were worse than ever so I decided to open them up and clean them myself. I sprayed them with some WD-40 and re-greased the gears. It took me 10 minutes maybe. They have been working perfectly ever since. There is no way that Cactus Bike even opened up my shifters because it was a very easy fix. They took my money and didn't do the work. I'll make the extra drive to Performance Bike for my business from now on.
