My wife and I drove down in June 2016. There is enough parking at the start, then it's a 2 mile hike through the park until you get to the beach. This very fact ensures that it is not overly crowded - you do have to hike for a little while. Nature is wonderfully preserved, in particular the wetlands, and the paths are easy to follow and well kept up. The beach is wonderful as well - we didn't find any fossils, but we weren't trying that hard either. Totally recommend coming here!

Abesolutly beautiful. The nature all around is a lefdect environment for a family day. Breath of fresh air a phenomenal hike with many different trails and different posts to help you learn about the environment. It is the definition of a perfect outing weather your wanting to go by yourself or with family or friends. The entire park and trail is kept clean. You can also fish in the pond and take them home whatever you may catch. It's an absolute delight being here.

Took my little sister ...we took the red trail which was easy to find and easy to hike down to the beach area. All trails are well labeled and maps are located along the trails that clearly tell you where you are. The beach its self is well kept and clean. The cliffs are pretty to look at. People go to try and find sharks teeth ...we didn't find any but if you bring a strainer I'm sure you can scrounge one up! Great for family hikes and plenty of cut spots to take pics. I did wish it had a boardwalk out into the water since the beach itself is somewhat narrow.

Just a solid place to spend time if you haven’t been here before. Definitely check out the tire park, and do a one mile hike over to the water to find some sharks teeth in the sand. There trails are perfect for some XC running as well. A wonderful state park if you are new to the area.

Calvert Cliffs is an excellent place to visit. I've gone here with my Boy Scout Troop for multiple years in a row, and each time we get to do something new. One year, we collected shells (and, if we were lucky, megalodon teeth); another year, we had a fire pit on the beach and roasted marshmallows. The only reason why I'm rating it four stars instead of five is the people who live right by the beach. My friends and I often built civilizations out of sand, and a woman came up to us and screamed about how this'll cause flooding (even though this was clearly not the case). Besides the neighbors, it's a wonderful venue and I'd highly recommend it. P.S. don't come at a busy time, it gets really crowded
