We have been camping there for over 20 years. I was going there over 40 years ago with my parents camping. Went from Melvin's Beach to Camp Clearwater. Seen this place triple (at least) in size. We have vacationed here for the last 25 plus years, introduced friends of ours to the Lake and like us they keep coming back. Have been told you know there are other places to go, but to us there is no other place. Our kids grew up here and now we bring our grandchildren with us. As long as we are able we will continue to come. Folks who work at the campground have always been great and helpful. Any problem that arose (been very few) they took care of right away. This is our bit of heaven on earth. Don & Lynn Wood

Truth be told, I have never actually stayed here. I stay next door at White Lake Pines. However, I attended church here every summer from my childhood until the last few summers. I have gone to their arcade, and their dances on the weekends. Definitely THE place to stay at White Lake

Overall disappointed. When we booked the spot, we booked for a 42' 5th wheel with 4 slides. When we arrived, it was after the office had closed, so they left a paper on the door with our spot. Good luck finding your spot on the map if you've never been there before. Thankfully a gentleman and his family on a golf cart saw my confusion and helped me out. He drove ahead to locate my spot and guided me in. WOW....this place is tight. The roads are narrow and the mature trees between sites make getting in and out difficult at best and sometimes, impossible. Our site for example was very hard to navigate into, but we got it in. However, there is a tree on the right side next to the road that is leaning over the road making pulling out in the flow of traffic impossible. Thank goodness, the people to the left of us left before we did, and I was able to pull out against the flow of traffic, but it was still tight. Sites were narrow. Just enough room for the RV, slide outs and awning, but not too bad. Beach was nice, but there needs to be an attendant. I assumed this was supposed to be a family friendly beach, but it isn't. A family arrived after us and sat about 15 feet behind us on the beach and lit there cigarettes and commenced to F this and F that. I was glad my kids were in the water and didn't have to hear that. Otherwise, we would have been forced to leave. Kids on golf carts are out of control. Saw kids as young as 10 driving carts with no adult supervision. Speed limit is 10, unless your on a cart. Then it must be 30 because they fly by blaring their music til at least 2 or 3 in the morning. No one from the staff monitoring their rules. If you want to race carts and party til the morning, this is the place for you. If you want a relaxing family friendly get a way, LOOK AWAY... We will not be back.

Only stayed one night because they were booked completely full. Would definitely stay again! We were in a tent this go round, can't wait to bring the camper:-) Yes kids drove golf carts and most were up till the midnight curfew either riding or at arcade with the DJ. But it was not very loud. I grew up going to Ocean Lakes at Myrtle Beach, very similar just no swimming pool.

A great family atmosphere. Run by friendly folks that are genuinely interested in you having a good time. Wish they had more live music events.
