Beautiful wooded campground area! This has been a second home for us for the past  10 years.  The owner and management are some of the nicest and friendliest people we have ever met. Our neighbors have become good friends. We feel truly blessed to be here.

I'm not sure where the last reviewer got that they offer free cable TV, I have stayed here twice and they don't..and they do not advertise that they do either. I also have not had any problems using the free WiFi during either stay. There are no run down trailers or "permanent" tent sites any more than the rest of the campgrounds across the country that I've stayed at. It is a (campground) and not the Hilton Hotel. I stayed three nights and had a great time, the pool was open so I got my swimming in !

Not a "Family" Campground do not bring your family here! It's a run down mobile home park with permanent residents living in campers and single wides in very poor condition. Playground is dangerously old and pool looked bad but it wasn't open yet. We spent one Friday night with our several children, no noise nor angry neighbors... Just trash on the ground and broken glass, and surely cat poop. Do not go barefoot! Buildings were run down and looked bad and I didn't even venture in any "amenities" bc we have a travel trailer equipped with a bathroom anyway. It was super cheap to stay, but we got what we paid for!! Lots of trees which made it hard to manuver properly into our spot, but provided shade. Fire is allowed but you have to make your own spot to burn, no designated fire pits.  Our spot didnt have a picnic table and the ones around us we're about to fall apart. I feel like they are falsely advertising their grounds and it's just looks so horribly bad there.... however the staff is Friendly, with friendly cats to pet, and beautiful sounding birds singing when we woke up so... Carolina Beach Family Campground gets one star.

Really accommodating, great way to relax before finals. This state park comes recommended by an Eagle scout

It's cheaper than a other camp site. Great location, a mile from the beach and walking distance from the inter coastal water way. Just a short walk to Snow Cut bridge where's there good fishing
