It cool you get to go swimming. And if you are really good then you can go on the diving board into the deep end.you also get learn  New song  Maybe you have never heard. You get to have fun with people who might be or they are not in your cabin.

I used to come here maybe 3 summers in arow in the 1960's thru Union gospel mission weekly bible school my sister an I would win a week at camp for knowing our bible verses lots of great memories camp fires swimin pops in horse back riding great fun wow that was so long ago and you guys are still there wow

I went there four times and loved every single year...except for my last year (summer of 2016: high school). At first, I was beyond stoked. I had my group of friends coming with me to learn about the Lord, I was eager to even make new friends. But quickly I realized that this year wasn't going to be the same as previous years. During bible study the topic of suicide came up, one of my friends asked, "do people who kill themselves go to heaven?" My councilor replied with, "that's what I believe." Then my friend added on," she was gay." This was when things started to go south. My councilor said that, and I quote, "gay people go to hell." She said that all LGBTQ+ individuals go to hell, God doesn't love them, they are sinners (aren't we all?), and many of my other cabin mates (whom were not my friends) added that, "there is a bug in their head," "they can choose who they love," "something is wrong with them." None of my friends were having it, we all dismissed to go to chapel and I stayed in my cabin and cried. To shorten this story, the whole rest of week was a complete disaster. Jack, who is one of the directors, wouldn't allow one of my friends to call home on one of their provided phones unless she explained in depth why she needed to call, note that you are allowed to call home whenever, she tried to give a brief summary but he kept persisting to an unacceptable point. The camp sent multiple councilors to my cabin, trying to explain that to be good Christians, we should not support the LGBTQ+ community. One of the staff members were explaining how she worked with a gay man and she said, "you can work with them, you just can't be friends." But wait, there's more. The preacher there was explaining how you cannot kiss before marriage, teen moms are going to hell because them aren't married, and attempting to brainwash every kid in there. At the end, he said "if you are willing to stand with me, and promise to be pure, etc.. stand up." With everyone's eyes open, you instantly feel peer pressured to stand, my friends and I didn't stand and we gained glares from staff the rest of chapel. Later that night I had a panic attack, I ran out to the bench which was located outside my cabin. My friend was with me and she goes "she's having a panic attack," to Jack who came over to see what the issue was. He hovered above me saying , "okay, so just calm down?" ???????like ???? Wow, wish I thought of that one???? Anyway, camp was hell. Not going back, they always delete what I comment on their insta so🤷🏻‍♀️
