The river is very pretty and was great for a hot summer day. The camping spots are literally on a huge lawn, no trees whatsoever. The sites are crammed together (we had to listen to a guy and his allergies all night, hooray). The town is within walking distance and everyone we interacted with was polite and helpful, but there's not much more than a grocery store and an ice cream shop. Hiking was one trail going up a steep hill, no rewarding views at the top or interesting markers. Good place for a trip to work on your camping kit until you're ready to run with the big dogs.

Beautiful park with an awesome variety of both paved paths and really well maintained trails. Plentiful parking in multiple locations for easy access. Ran my first 1/2 marathon here and it was a blast.

Awesome, clean campsites! Some of them are a bit of a trek, but don't worry - they have carts (nice ones) to lug all your stuff to your campsite! The port-a-pottys are clean, and we'll stocked and the land is gorgeous. Definitely bring bug spray!!

Lots of intersecting hiking trails, fun to wander around on. The trail map that is located at one of the major intersections inside the trail system is more detailed than the one at the park entrance or trail head, so be sure to stop and take a picture of the detailed map when you get to it, or you'll be confused at all the trail intersections. It's a little slice of paradise. We loved sleeping in one of the yurts. We will be back to do more exploring.
