Best prices on the nutro pet food line. But today there seemed to be an issue with the customer service counter. I'm glad I ran into one of the trainers, it's always fun to share with Madison how my rescue hound is settling into her life with us.

Usually I am very pleased with Care-a-lot, their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and I can almost always find what I need or they will help me find it in their warehouse. However, my gripe is with their grooming staff. I took my lab in there a week ago to get a de-shedding shampoo and he came home with a scratch/welt on his front leg. My dog is a sweet boy, tall and skinny, about 60lbs. He has been in there many times with no problems so when he came home like that I was upset. I called them to ask what happened and they offered me another bath. I told them he wasn't dirty, he was injured. They put on a manager who told me the girl who groomed him would be in later and they would question her and call me back. I received a phone call a short while later with the response of it wasn't so-and-so it was another so-and-so and she's not coming in today. I informed them that I my biggest issue was that my dog had been injured and I received no notice or phone call and that was poor customer service, to which she replied well, your dog is a bit excitable, as you know. I do know, but you still did not let me know and as many times as he has been in there over the past four years, we've never had a problem. I never did receive a phone call back from anyone and no apology. It's disheartening to trust someone with your fur baby to only find out maybe you shouldn't have. I don't know that I'll give them another chance since no one in the grooming salon seemed to care enough to apologize.

The staff is super helpful and can answer any questions you may have. Not the biggest pet store I've gone to but they had everything I needed and has a wide variety of pet food. From what I remember they cover fish, cats, dogs, birds and I believe lizards. They even have a place for your dog to stay if you're leaving town for a bit.

I love going to care alot! Always friendly staff and huge selection of premium dog and cat foods. They offer a free loyalty program where every 10 bags of food you get one free. They have great prices which most big box chain pet stores can't compete with, but offer price matching to keep customers loyal. They do not have small pets for sale but have freshwater and saltwater fish, plants, coral and sometimes turtles and amphibians. They have supplies including cages, crates, and tanks for fish, reptiles, small animals, birds, cats and dogs. They have a great selection of professional grade grooming supplies as well as an in house groomer and doggy daycare. Every weekend they have a low cost vet clinic that comes out and uses their space. Throughout the year they have events put on by them and their vendors- one I went to had doggy dock diving and the vendors passed out coupons and free samples, and they had local dog and cat adoption agencies present. I once had an issue with a price on dog food and (I can't remember his name) the manager who was an african American gentleman, helped me with no hassle and was obviously trained that the customer is always right and to help fix problems within his means. I am hooked- a regular customer who comes here for my aquarium and fish needs, dog and cockatiel products. Their fish dept even offers free water testing. Most interaction with their staff has left me feeling like they're well trained, smart/informed and if a question can't be immediately answered they'll find an answer. I was interested in ordering a specific type of fish and they were unsure at the time if it could be ordered and I was later contacted by phone to let me know, upon reordering. If they don't have something in store they will try their best to find it for you. Corporate office is local and their buyer can be contacted by management to try n help you. They have floor models to look at for cages and crates and tanks, and offer to put things together for you before leaving..... Someone in management or corporate is doing a good job here with training and standards of customer service.

Pet friendly & lots of great products. Staff is very knowledgeable, but it never seems like there is enough staff on duty. Sometimes it's hard to find someone to help you.
