Highly recommend this dealer. We first visited Wyndam Select vehicles in West Ashley and they not only couldn't locate one of their cars but were clueless about any of the other inventory. Ken at Carolina Cars, on the other hand, knew his vehicles inside and out. Within a few minutes of talking to him you get a surprisingly warm and fuzzy feeling despite him being a used car salesman. He's honest, straightforward, and courteous. He gave us the back story on the vehicle we saw online and were interested in. The closing was really straightforward. Everyone who has bought a car knows that the big push is on the extended warranties. Ken isn't aggressive at all about selling you a warranty. You can even add one after the fact if you so choose. He also has several great financing options at his disposal and was able to get us 2.6% which is very competitive. I was really impressed with Ken's professionalism and expertise. He deserves your business.

We purchased a nice Toyota Highlander with about 50,000+ miles on it from Ken years ago.  The SUV was a great buy and better than any deal in town or in South Carolina. We know bc we looked everywhere at the time.  Last year we bought another strong running but larger Toyota SUV with over 110,000 miles and it was another better than average deal.  Ken's always been helpful and honest and used Toyota's are a better buy in our opinion.

We've read some of the other reviews and to our surprise we have a much different experience and opinion.  One can't expect any vehicle to be problem free when buying a USED car from any where regardless of what the seller says. You have to expect to spend up to $1,000 or more within the first year to bring the vehicle up to date on maintenance, tires or any other lingering issues bc they're going to be there. Everyone should know this before purchasing a used vehicle.  Do some basic research before buying and not just test drive it for the day. Have it checked out by a quality third party technician so you know what we're buying and what needs to be repaired sooner rather than later.  Dealers sell what they've got and many people trade cars in when it's overdue for some time type of maintenance.  In the end, it's the buyers responsibility to make the best and most informed buying decision before signing paperwork.

We're a family with two kids so making a good buying decision with safety in mind is important. We've happily referred people to Ken and will likely buy another vehicle from him in the future.

Bought a 2006 volvo s40 2.4i ended up having to spend over 7,000$ in repairs.  The sun roof leaked terribly 300$ right there, then had to get the water sucked up from the carpets which were drenched and stank another couple hundred.  The wind shield wiper fluid motor was broken another 300$, the engine mount was cracked and broke 1 month in and crushed the axle and needed all new belts, a new axle and several other new parts.  eventually it all added up to over 7,000$ in repairs for a 13,000$ car, they refused to pay for any of it, I had also bought the top of the line warranty they offered which conveniently covered nothing. Strongly recommend NOT buying from this dealer.
