Edit - I take back the mean things I said about faxes and my bankers unwillingness to help.  Recently had a banker explain to me why banks can't send faxes for customers.  It's a combination of laziness and stupidness mixed with a little of "it makes legal sense."

I had come in for a deposit (no problem at the window) and help with faxing a document.  The 2nd banker I spoke with told me he would not be able to help me send a fax because he's only allowed to send faxes to other Chase branches and that if you weren't sending a fax to a Chase branch, he would not "be able to verify."

I'm sure this story sounds as stupid to you now as it did for me in that moment.  I left.

What I understood was that he didn't want to stop flirting with the girl he was trying to talk to when I interrupted him.  Then he tells me I can go to Kroger and do it for a quarter like I'm some a-hole off the street.

I would like to close my account here because I don't go to the bank to be treated like sht.  I'm not going to close the account because it's just more trouble, but I recommend that nobody personally do business with the bankers here.

Open your account at a different branch and do everything possible to avoid having to actually see anybody face to face here.  They just don't give a F and can't even verify apparently.  Their employees can't even send faxes outside of the Chase network.  Maybe a different bank would be more capable of taking care of a simple request.

To be clear, I hate that my doctor uses a fax machines at all.  But that's life man.  Some people won't give up this sht technology.  Just can't wait for all the fax machine people to die so that we never have to use them ever again.

Poor customer service is truly unbelievable.  Was waiting in lobby for 40 minutes before being seen.  Debit card came up missing, and they were not quick to respond. They didnt care at all.
