Good spot in the area to check out!! They serve large portions and the food has good flavor……at reasonable prices. Service was kind of lacking but with the times that we are in nowadays, what restaurant isn’t short staffed. Atmosphere was OK, the bar area is nice which is where we sat at. Will probably be making a return visit!
The service was great and food bought out fast. The food was cooked perfectly as ordered and the price not so bad. Everyone smiled and made you feel welcome. The Bacon Cheddar burger was delicious and filling. I’m not from Tampa, but when I go back, I’ll check them out and may try the dessert.
Food was great but due to lack of employees like most places these days it took a while to be seated and finally had to ask our server about our salads.. we hate to have our salads served at the same time as our entrees. But, the food was good as usual and we were full while still being able to take leftovers for another meal.
I went with my wife and the 2 kids a 5 year old and 11 year old. We had to wait 30 minutes to get seated which was expected. While waiting I took and menu and made sure we knew what we wanted before we were seated. When we seated we put the orders in right away. 2 kids meals with a couple of sides, blacken Salmon and a rib and steak combo. We waited and waited and the waitress was helping other tables but seem to ignore us. I saw electric games on tables to keep kids occupied but we were never offered any. A hour past by and waitress still ignored us. Groups that cake in after us got there meals and then I stopped the waitress and she immediately started babbling about how the kitchen cooked the wrong meals first and ours are on a priority list. I was very upset and was about to walk out but my said what will we do for dinner we have been here going on 2 hours now. 5 to 10 minutes layer the kids meals were brought out and the waitress stated at least I got the kids meals and your rib combo is causing the delay. 2 minutes later another person came out with the rib combo and the Salmon. The Salmon was not Blackened and my wife looked for the waitress that did not come back to table. I assume she did not want to deal with us. A dew minutes later someone else came to the table to ask if everything was OK. I said no but she was a young girl probably another server. She asked if we wanted a free dessert and we said no it is to late for the kids to eat a dessert. Then she said she would speak to a manager. We never saw a manager, I did not see any adults working everyone looked like young kids. Then the waitress returned and said they are discounting the bill. When we got the bill it stated we got an employee discount. The kids liked their food and my wife said even though the Salmon wasn't Blackened it tasted good. That is why I gave 2 stars. My ribs were terrible and the steak cold. I don't like giving bad reviews but this was a very disappointing experience for the kids and us.
Since moving to the Carrolwood area, I'm pleased to have found a nice chill spot close by where I can have the best of both worlds, a full bar and comfort food. The Painkiller drink was a Must try! Limited to only 2 orders per person, this drink definitely sneaks up on you! I have a pretty decent tolerance and even I kind of underestimated this drink. Loved the shredded coconut honey soaked rim, and the portion of the drink is very generous. Prices of the drinks and food on the menu was also very reasonable and refreshing to see, as the portions are generous as well. I ordered the chicken tenders and shrimp combo, which is a great dish for land and sea type. 5 tenders with a choice of grilled or coconut fried shrimp, which I definitely went with the coconut. guilty pleasure, whoops! Paired with 2 sides of my choosing, buttered corn and broccoli cheddar casserole. Really loved the dish, the batter was nice and crunchy, tasted like it was fried in fresh oil. The shrimp was the best part, crispy with just the right amount of coconut breading, not overly thick where it'd overpower the shrimp. There's a nice side of sauce that's fantastic for dipping, had a nice spicy kick to it that marries well with the coconut flavoring. I also tried a few bites from my boyfriend's dish consisting of the chicken fried chicken with some mash. We were both pleasantly...and deliciously, surprised by how juicy the meat was, considering that it was made with 2 pieces white breast meat! Again, the batter was fantastic and extra crispy. Last but not least, I cannot forget to give a special shout-out to the fabulous yet dangerously good honey butter croissants! Wow! I had to force myself to hold back after eating 2; the warm, flakey buttery croissant with the sweet drizzled honey butter. *Chef's kiss* Great first experience here, other than waiting a while to be seated during a slow time, I will be looking forward to frequenting here more!
Marcos is the GM and James was our server. We had the Honey Croissants they were hot and flaky; cheese fries were dynamite as an appetizer and we ordered steak, ribs, shrimp, broccoli casserole was good and our drinks were smooth. First time there, we had a ball!
Cheddars Scratch Chicken is a chain restaurant. This location is in Carrollwood, FL. Out of the bag, we were given a 35 minute wait. And, we noticed that the entire restaurant is understaffed, and I won’t give any sympathy for that. We waited longer, and we didn’t like the behavior of the other customers. Then, after 20 minutes, we were seated and things didn’t get any better. One strange thing we noticed was that it took forever to get our drinks ordered and delivered. Then, we noticed that we didn’t have any waiter or waitress activity serving us. However, they were nice. Now, the service out of the way, the decor is bland and typical like a cheddars, but things are far worse behind this, I noticed the cushion to my booth was ripped shown in the photos, and the restaurant was very difficult to navigate. Found it odd that the restrooms are past the deliver section. Moving on, let’s talk about the food. Some of the things I actually liked were the apology croissants, the monte cristo, and the fries. Everything else wasn’t good. I found the seasoning on the steak the most disgusting thing you could put on steak. The chicken tenders and buffalo shrimp were drowned in vinegary, sticky sauce. Was not enjoyable. Overall, this is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Go to Outback and get a decent experience there.
The steak was delicious, but a bit chewy for medium rare, the combination with the chicken tenders was very tasty though. The mashed potatoes were great, the broccoli was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was also amazing and fast. I do come here often to celebrate a birthday or just because i want some good steak and chicken tenders.
Absolutely amazing. This is my husband and I new favorite restaurant. Great food even better service. I don't remember our server but she was absolutely the best. Amazing food at amazing prices.
The food, drinks and customer service was top tier shout out to the servers:Royalty and September and the bartender:Josh... if you go there ask for them you will get amazing service
