What a wonderful French restaurant. It was quiet and romantic. They placed beautiful soothing music. Thankfully they sat us in the back away from the door, but there was also delightful outside seating.the waitress, Lady, was adorable, efficient, and attentive. The food was amazing. Every dish was delicious and gorgeous! We will definitely be coming back to this stupendous restaurant!
This was such a pleasant surprise! I have never been here before but I met my hubby for lunch and all I can say is AMAZING! It’s an intimate and cozy spot with wonderful food! The menu options are great! The staff is pleasant and professional! We got our food quickly and the portions are more than enough!! I will definitely be back!
I've been here twice, in three years. I can happily tell you that they're still cranking out excellent food. The French onion soup was fantastic, with fried onions on top. I had the chicken Julie, which was a grilled chicken sandwich, sandwiched between a thick cut of fried brie and a pear chutney. Very well done. Highly recommend this lovely little spot. Parking: A huge parking lot, ample parking.
The restaurant is amazing. The food is amazing. The staff is amazing. This place is a clinic for any restaurant in all realms of product and service. And it’s honest. There are not many places in Tampa that has all these qualities. The only negative part of the experience is that it is adjacent to a wine place that has outdoor live music and you are at the mercy of the talent who, on my visit, was singing songs with cursing in it. You are also at the mercy of their cigars outside. The smell is offensive. The hostess and my server were great. The other servers seemed to be doing really great for their customers and the other patrons seemed very pleased. I ordered chicken Mac and Cheese which was tasty. The bread and spread was satisfying. Red Sangria the best I’ve had. And I ordered the The whipped cream topping, strawberries and blueberries were refreshing.
Food was delicious. Customer service was awesome. They were able to sit a party of 10 last minute and didn't disappoint. The honey burbuon salmon and strawberry mojito was the bomb. Will definitely return if I'm in the area.
I'm giving it 3 stars because admittedly the atmosphere is pleasant however it's a poorly managed restaurant. We went for dinner and asked for a table. The host turned away and looked at her coworker and visibly rolled her eyes and said NO we can't sit 4 people right now. It was really awkward to experience as a patron and made us feel unwelcomed. They sat us anyway and the service was decent but once it got busier, our waiter was MIA. The presentation of the food was odd to say the least. I believe the meat dishes were good but the appetizers and sides were not good. The potatoes were dry and seemed like they had been sitting out. I was particularly puzzled by the fried brie appetizers in which they brought out a whole wheel of brie cut into huge chunks with a very light drizzle of some kind of berry sauce. The bathroom was out of toilet paper and one of the stalls had an unfortunate appearance as someone had an accident near the toilet and it wasn't cleaned up. Pretty gross and odd that it was ignored for a busy Friday night. I think this place has a lot of potential and I look forward to that but for now, I didn't have a pleasant experience with the food or staff.
Michael’s definitely delivered. I wasn’t pleased with my starter salad, it was a bit wilted, but the flavors were there. The salmon was phenomenal, the vegetables were cooked Al dente, and my champagne cocktail was refreshing. I’ll be back soon! And I’ll bring some friends.
I feel bad that I had an unpleasant experience. I’m gonna make it short. -food was just ok. Bill was $120 for 2 adults and a kid -service was pretty bad; our server looked super tired and was ready to clock out -it wasn’t too busy but they seemed to have just 2 food runners so we waited for more than 30 mins for our food.
OpenTable presented me this restaurant as a local gem. It's a really lovely restaurant, and I love the fact that the chef and his wife go around to pretty much everybody in the restaurant and chat with them. The food was pretty good. Definitely all homemade and from scratch. They take real pride in what they present to people. They frequently rotate items on and off the menu, which is always nice. I tried that she crab bisque, the flavor was pretty good but it was overly thick and maybe a little too sweet. The best she crab bisque on the planet is it Collington Cafe on the outer Banks of North carolina. I also had the pork Diane, it was good, I enjoyed the sauce, but it didn't make me jump up and down. The focaccia and garlic butter they bring out before the meal was really excellent, very light crisp on the outside really excellent. I have to agree with open table, this is a neighborhood gem, I'm really tired of corporate chain restaurants. They have no heart. I'm sure we will be back to try other items soon.
It is hard to imagine Michael's getting a less than excellent review! We have dined in several times but after covid we've done a lot of take out. They do a fabulous job of packaging their food. It is always wonderful in flavor, quality and presentation. They always cook our steaks to a perfect MR or M depending. They change the menu regularly enough that we find new items every season. Honestly I could go on and on about specific items but it is all wonderful. I will say that their conch fritters are the best we have ever had! This is really a Dine-in upscale restaurant. It deserves to be enjoyed at their tables with their excellent service...but like I said their take out set up is honestly the best around. It is obvious that this kitchen loves their work!
