I wish there were negative stars.  My Mother in Law was taken to Memorial Hixson because she was having problems breathing.  After numerous tests and who knows how much money they said that she did not have pneumonia and sent her home (still struggling to breathe) without oxygen or an inhaler.  It was almost like they were thinking "well, she is elderly.  Lets just send her home to die.  This is a hospital without a conscience.  If you read the other reviews you will see the commonalities.  There many many one star reviews and I wonder how many of the 5 stars are from employees.  A hospital should be ashamed of a 3.0 review.  Later that evening because she was struggling to breathe she was taken to a real hospital(Erlanger downtown) where she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia with involvement of both lungs. As I write this she is in intensive care at Erlanger probably facing a tougher fight than she would have had if the correct diagnosis been made.  How in the world does a so called hospital miss a diagnosis like that unless they just decided that she was old and probably didnt really know whether she was having breathing difficulties or not. Their real goal is they want to bill Medicare for Non- Care.  I can't believe my Medicare Tax dollars go to pay for this type of inferior treatment.  At best it is a prime case of a hospital gouging Medicare and at worst it is Medicare fraud.

  All I can say to Memorial is SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!

I was turned away last night because the ER was to fully and have been waiting in the lobby for several hours to receive treatment. I was diagnosed with c-diff a few weeks ago and was told to return to the ER if I have any further complications. I drove myself because I knew I didnt have time to wait for an ambulance. They told I had four patient's ahead of me then called back about 50 patient's and that I have to wait.
Update
 I have been trying to get in this ER since last night and a nurse just came up and told me it going to be another long wait. Yet my doctor told me to come her immediately! I think I will call the state!

I like Northpark because I dont have to drive downtown to get to an ER if i get sick or hurt. Every1 is usually pretty nice except security when im tying to sneak a cigarette. I guess patrolling for the occasional cigarette violator is stressful, idk because I wouldn't tell ppl they couldnt smoke while their family may have just had a serious accident.

I went to the ER and had to be admitted. Over the three days here I spent maybe 10 minutes with a doctor. I've been here waiting for the results of my last test which was done last night and was told I would be discharged afterwards. Well I've been here all day and still haven't seen a doctor. I said if I don't see one by 4:30 I'm leaving but that made no difference. I feel they saw who my insurance provider is and said cha-Ching rather than doing the right thing. If that's not the case then hire more doctors so people who shouldn't be there can leave!

My wife had a hysterectomy today...first of all it took almost 2 hrs to get her something for pain. When she got back in her own room then we were told that she could have the catheter out soon that turned out to be a lie so when we demanded for it to be took out they refused we done alil research and come to find out they were suppose to listen to her request they had no right refusing her request fast foward alil while...she finally has relief and wants me to push her around in a wheel chair that gets denied of course we are in a hospital prison...worse experience of my life I felt so horrible that my wife had to experience that as well...i wouldn't recommend taking a dog here let alone a human being...if there were a way to give it no stars I would...
