Lots of potential there - Great location & food can be more better. They need to hire more staff. 1 thing I notice in most of the restaurants, They run behind delivery orders - in which they pay commission to delivery companies in range of 30-40% of total bill and they ignore people, who come specially to their restaurant to give 100% to the owner. I would say, either restaurants should hire more staff or shut down their delivery options. If restaurants give 100% attention towards dine in customers, they will earn way more than delivery process in lesser labor and expenditure. Restaurant is little expensive and need to work their food & drinks as well. Please ask them first, how many servers are working at that time and how long it will take, if you are visiting there.
We tried this place on Saturday eve. We didn’t reserve so when we reached there we were a bit skeptical to get table as it was complete full and super busy luckily we got table!! We ordered pinwheel samosa, masala papad appetisers. Palak Paneer pasanda, panchmel dal fry, garlic naan for main course. Food was served super hot and its was amazing experience on a cold day. I loved the appetisers specially masala papad was top notch. Paneer curry was not completely Indian flavoured but more like a fusion but was good. Garlic naan were amazing super thin and well buttered. Lastly, Panchmel Daal Fry was tasty too specially with jeera rice which they served complimentary with panner curry was delicious. Daal had essence of that we get in India Dhabbas. Overall had lovely experience.
My wife and I had not dined at Chutneys in a long time, and were excited to see the renewed menu with lots of new options - yet the same great food quality. I could not decide whether I liked better the Paneer Tikka Makhani or the Zafrani Awadhi Murgh - they both tasted so good and, while I am partial to meats, could not stop dipping the Truffle Naan into Tikka sauce. We will have to get back for more. Such a convenient location downtown Bellevue with the parking just next door.
Very tasty food. They serve the most authentic ‘rumali roti’, exactly what the name says. Their curries are awesome. The Vada Pav was also very good. I would highly recommend if you want to have tasty Indian food. The handi biryani is authentic and comes in a pot which is sealed by a flour roti. The ambience is also very modern and clean. They also have parking.
I've been in search of good kadai paneer in the greater Seattle area for a while and always dismissed Chutneys because it only had 4.3 stars. I'm glad I finally tried this place. This is by far the best kadai paneer and garlic naan I've had in the area. My friends ordered the goat curry and felt that the turmeric in it was overpowering other flavors. If not for that this would've been a perfect experience. A nice icing on the cake was that the servers knew exactly how spicy we'd like it based on the description we gave. In a lot of places I see a disparity/parity between the spice scale of the waiters and the chefs. That wasn't the case here. I'll definitely be visiting again to try the lunch buffet.
This was a nice place. Hit and okay misses. The soya chaap was 4*, pretty close to perfect. The Rogan Josh was great, best in the area even. The rumali roti was flaking and breaking apart but still good for the area. The saag paneer is not for recommending but fine if you’re a spinach fan. Would defiantly advise sticking to waiter recommendations.
We hosted our kid birthday party in chutneys restaurant Bellevue. Food was awesome. They provided food very reasonable price. Owner and staffs are very kind to us. They prepared food depends upon requirement. Party hall also very spacious. I can give more than five star rating to chutneys restaurant. Thanks Rakesh Sir.
I’ve lived on the east side for a couple years and never visited Chutneys, finally made a visit and I can’t believe I missed out for so long. We ordered the dragon panneer, usal pav and vegetable biryani. The veg biryani at Nirmals used to be my favorite in the area, but now I have a new place in the #1 spot! It was loaded with veggies and the flavor profile was on point. The dragon panneer was soooo satiating if you love indo Chinese. The service was also great, we were helped by Carina and she was such a sweet lady, made great suggestions for our order and made the experience pleasant overall. Highly recommend!
This restaurant is the Bomb! Hospitable hosts, good food, lovely presentation, excellent dessert and especially the drink Indian Mojito. I advise everyone to try this! I would like to return here frequently.
Let's just say I was blown away by the authentic North Indian food here. Highly recommended!
