Do not move here, this city has poor traffic management. Making it a nightmare to drive, The street and traffic layout in certain areas are accident prone, one in particular is American parkway between union and Gordon, the city allows left turns on a double lane during rush hours, this is a recipe for severe accidents. And no worries the city is aware they simple just like to earn a check without actual work. I know because I called the mayor office and city hall only to get a dead end. Going to report this to state officials.
I thought they did great when Long Island Audit went to the cit hall to exercise his rights. The police chief and other officers seemed like really decent people. The female officer was a little scary though.
I wrote a check for my Permit and the City of Allentown lost my check. And now they are making go to bank to show proof that I submitted a check if not have to pay a full fee for the Permit.
Make sure when you move out of this city and hopefully never return that you sell the house immediately. City Ordinance 1759 states that a vacant home even if being sold is considered a rental property and will be charged the $75/yr rental ordinance fee. So they charge you the Rental Ordinance fee, the inspection fee, the property transfer fee and all the other fees they feel like charging you with. They are still attempting to get money out of me even after I paided them 2 years ago. Dont move to Allentown, it was the worst mistake I ever made.

Don't bother visiting Allentown, PA this is a boring stupid prejudice ignorant town and all the jobs in the Lehigh Valley including the new jobs they be making in Allentown, PA they only want to hire white people. That's one of the reason why the drop out rate in Allentown, PA is so high because they only teach the white people and that's why when you look at the University and other Colleges there all white people graduating.
Read the Constitution and abide. Do better
Get the parking app if you are driving! And bring your mask.
Needs some tree services and landscaping to keep it up with the city beautification!
Terrible its closed they gave me a paper and told me to mail in my forms with a check and they will set up an appointment.
