I recently had extensive dental work done by Dr. Dixon at Commonwealth Dentistry. This work included multiple trips and many hours each time in the dental chair.
From the kind, always willing to help front-end staff to the many experience dental assistants, I was always treated in a professional and timely manner. 
The type of work I had done requires much stress on teeth and gums with lots of Novocaine. Not one time did I feel pain even from the shots. 
After multiple visits I am extremely pleased with the quality of workmanship and the care extended for their patients. 
I highly recommend Dr. Dixon and all the staff at Commonwealth Dentistry

Today was a day that started off in pain and not understanding why. Returned to initial dentist however was not taken serious or tried to investigate problem. Goggled Commonwealth Dentisy of Colonial Heights,  walked in, had consultation with Dental Assistant and Dentist;  X-rays were taken to verify diagnosis and tooth issue was SOLVED, Expeditiously.  Dr. Dixon is excellent. He is thorough  in explaining and the elimination of pain.  The awards on wall are truly worthy. Entire staff is well above excellent,  I will refer anyone to come here. I feel so good and that’s not usually how people feel after dental appointment.

I've been to many a dentist throughout the years (remained loyal to my last dentist for 30 years until he retired). The experience I just had with Dr Dixon and staff has been the best ever. I had several root canals and six crowns fitted in one five hour session and he and his assistant couldn't have been more competent or compassionate. I walked out with temporary crowns (front teeth) that looked and felt better than what I walked in with. I didn't even need an aspirin after all that work. Great competent and caring staff.. I heartily recommend !! Looking forward to my follow up visit and my permanent crowns .. will post again after final results.

Awful. Been to this dentistry 3 times and every single time they stated I had a few cavities they had been watching for some time. I fell for it twice before realizing something was off. They made comments that I had to make two different appointments to get cavities filled because they were on opposite sides of my mouth. (Which is not true) Before my last visit they stated I had 3 cavities, I ended up going to a different dentistry who said I had zero cavities and she didn't understand why I was there my teeth were perfect.  Needless to say they are money hungry liars.
