The facilities are clean and well managed.  The local management at this site are extremely professional and caring.  They go above and beyond to accomodate you and help you in any way they can.  Highly recommend.

This company pulled a bait and switch on me.  They advertised the storage unit I rented from them online for $66.00.  This ad did not state that it was a limited time introductory offer.  I visited the facility and Donnell Sanders escorted me to the unit that was available for the $66.00.  During the tour of the facility I specifically asked Mr. Sanders if the $66.00 was an introductory offer.  He stated that the $66.00 was the price.  He did not say that it was a limited time introductory price.  Mr. Sanders also denies that he ever told me that.  He either doesn't remember or he was outright lying in order to get the new business. I had someone with me that day who also heard him tell me this and I know they have security cameras so if they play the tape back on that day you will clearly see that it was him to gave me the tour and I did have another person with me.  They are now raising the price of the unit to almost double to $126.00.  They should have been honest and up front at the time of the tour before I signed up and moved all my stuff from the unit I had to this one.  As it turns out the unit I moved from is a better deal now then the one at Compass.  If they would have been honest with me from the beginning I would never had moved from the company I was with.  They were deceptive in their advertising as well as not being honest when asked about the true price during the facility tour.

I used Compass Self Storage in Rochester several times over the years and was always satisfied. Audrey was especially understanding of my situation and would greet me with a smile each time I visited the office. When my son needed a storage unit for a few months, he made arrangements at this location. Everything went smoothly and the price was very good. A couple weeks ago, I learned that I would have to move. I contacted three different storage companies and Compass was by far the best. As I tried to decide what would work for me, Cynthia was extremely patient and helpful. I highly recommend Compass Self Storage.

I recently had to move , and my son was left with the task of finding a storage unit for me,  to store my things until I returned.  Cynthia has been wonderful in helping me with all my questions. She is always cheerful and returns all my calls promptly.  I am very happy with my sons choice with Compass Storage Unit in Madison Heights.

Working with Compass Self Storage has been one of the most positive experiences of our move.  My wife and I are moving to Michigan from Virginia so there is much to do.  My interaction with Cynthia from the first call has made the process so much easier to know that we are covered for storing our things in transition.  Cynthia, her team and even a sister store have gone above and beyond to go out of their way to make sure we are making the best decision possible.   I would highly recommend Compass Self Storage and will definitely refer business to them in the future!
