Story

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Troy has proudly served the area since 2010. Since that time, Franchisee Kevin B. has developed the business into a seven-truck operation that conducts more than 2,600 moves annually and growing. I had a great experience with Two Men and a Truck! I had to move a very fragile cabinet (an antique, so irreplaceable!) and three pieces of art. Jose and Jacob were friendly, hardworking, and had positive attitudes. They were very careful with my items and respectful of me and my time. Thank you for excellent service!

My experience with this location was not very good at all. I chose this location based on research and reviews online. I expected that my move would be handled smoothly and with professionalism. Unfortunately that was not the case. 

I made reservations to move a 2 bedroom apartment and was given a window of 11am - 1pm. I was excited about the move because the employee who took the reservation was very pleasant and easy to work with. This gave me a good feeling about the company. 

I tried to make the move as easy as possible for the movers by placing all of the items that needed to be moved out in the front room close to the door. The only remaining item that was in another room was a dresser. I also made sure to break down the bed, the dining room table and took the mirror off of the vanity as I had read that not doing this could add time if the workers had to do it. 

On moving day, the workers were two hours late as they did not arrive until a little after 3pm. They told me that a prior move was the reason. The problem with them arriving 2 hours late is that I had arranged with my complex to reserve the freight elevator for use based on the window of time that I was quoted by two Men and a Truck. The movers went over some paperwork with me before getting started that quoted me a total moving time of 3.5 hours. By the time it was done, the move ended up taking almost 5.5 hours. During the move, one of the movers made a remark to me that they were being interrupted by someone else that was also using the freight elevator and was upset that they were using it. I reminded him that they were 2 hours late and were now cutting into time that someone else had reserved.

I was upset that the move had taken so long but did not express this to the movers. Although they were very loud and talkative when completing the move, and although I saw them on their cell phones a couple of times during the move, overall they worked very hard and I appreciated their assistance. 

I decided to take up my concerns with the manager/owner, Greg. I spoke to Greg and told him my concerns. I let him know that I was disappointed that the workers were 2 hours late and that the move lasted almost 2.5 hours longer than what was quoted which cost me an extra $200.00/plus dollars. Greg was apologetic but told me that since the job had been closed already, he could not refund any money. However, he assured we that he would "talk" to each person who was involved with putting this move together. Thanks, but that does not help me much as your customer. He also said that the time estimation was quoted to me wrong. I understand that but that is not my fault. I agreed to what I had been quoted and made plans based off of that. I should not have to suffer because of the errors of your workers. He then offered to discount a "future move" for me, maybe removing the traveling fee the next time. I found this insulting as this was not making up for the inconvenience but rather it was an invite back to give him more business, despite the unaddressed issues I encountered. Why would I consider using this location again based on the experience I had? 

So my experience with this Two Men and a Truck location in Troy was not good at all. This is just my experience and yours may be completely different. As far as I'm concerned, this company got my $700.00 but they will never get my business, or anyone else that I know business again.

After seeing many Two Men and a Truck vehicles in my travels, I had a need for such services so I decided to give them a call. The Troy office staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a quote within a half hour and they had electronic paperwork to see, sign and send - all very efficient. 
The movers, Haley and Hathaway, were also very efficient while still being professional but friendly at the same time. I was impressed with how courteous and helpful they were. Both gentlemen are extremely tireless hard workers and got the job done without wasting any time. I highly recommend giving them a call when you need to move. This was not only worth the money but also took the work and pain out of having to move yourself!!

These guys were fantastic! 
Arrived on time as they said they would, careful with property, walked through the house with me on what was going on the truck. 
Once at the new location, told them which rooms the furniture was going, they set everything up. Super nice and respectful guys, with a sense of humor. Would use this company again.

DO NOT USE TWO MEN AND A TRUCK - ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION

I had them booked for almost two months. They showed up to my apartment, told me there was nowhere to park, hung up on me when I tried to tell them there was in fact parking, and then cancelled my job. 

No one listened to me when I tried to tell them there was parking and instead I got a rude condescending tone telling me the driver knew better. Well, considering I'd lived in that apartment for almost a year, I'm pretty sure that I would know. There was an empty lot not 15 feet from the apartment they could have used. 

I never even saw the driver. He was parked at the end of my street and drove off while I was on the phone with the manager. The manager was absolutely rude to me and told me "we're not the moving company for you" and cancelled my job. 

I had to be out that day. It was the one of the most stressful situations I've ever been through. Thankfully, my friends and family rallied around me and we moved everything BY OURSELVES. 

There are pictures of all the parking space and the empty lot. My apartment is on the right of the house. 

This was just simply unacceptable and outrageous customer service. 

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY 

They will back out on you last minute and leave you with nothing.
