Everyone here was friendly and considerate and made me and my sick cat as comfortable as possible. They got us in on short notice. My cat was very sick and Dr. Forbes went above and beyond to help my poor, sick Garfield get better. It is obvious to me that Dr. Forbes, Becky, and the others I met here really care and they took wonderful care of my cat. I am happy to say that he has recovered and I am very happy with care he received here.

We were able to get an appointment at Compassionate Care after phoning two other clinics that were booked solid. The staff were very welcoming, and the vet explained the diagnosis, answered our questions and explained our options very carefully. We knew our cat was not feeling well but we were not prepared for the diagnosis, which was not good. This was on the Friday afternoon before a 3-day weekend. We were just not ready to euthanize our cat on the spot, so we were given medications to make him more comfortable until the following Tuesday, when we could reconsider. We were told that there would be a vet on call over the holiday weekend if we had questions. Our cat rallied a bit on Saturday but on Sunday evening he started crying, and it was blatantly clear that the situation had become critical. We were absolutely frantic, and when I tried to reach the vet on call (several times) to refer me to a place that could euthanize him, all I got was a FAX screech in my ear. It took awhile for me to find an emergency clinic; by the time I got my cat there he had died. Hindsight is always 20/20. The vet who diagnosed our cat encouraged us to consider euthanasia, and I wish I had realized how critical our cat's situation was. I would have put him down immediately. Instead I listened to him scream while I tearfully and frantically searched for help. The folks at Compassionate Care lived up to their reputation as far as the cat's care was concerned; our only disappointment was that they were not there for us when we really needed help.

Took my cat here for general checkups as well as advice about various topics (weight gain, long distance travel) while I lived in Ann Arbor, and they we're absolutely fantastic. The staff (including the vets) are so nice - they definitely earn the "compassionate" in their name. Whenever I visited, all options were clearly outlined, including pricing. I definitely felt that my cat was in good hands. Thank you!

The veterinarians and technicians at Compassionate Care Animal Hospital were exceptional when I had to bring my 4 y.o. cat, Sagan, into the hospital because she ingested (and vomited up) some hair ties. I called at 9:30pm (they close at 10pm), asking to schedule an appointment for the next morning and they asked me to come in right away, even though caring for Sagan that evening kept them there much later. They took phenomenal care of Sagan--everyone who interacted with her was very caring--it was as if she was their own pet. They also took exceptional care of me--I was worried sick about Sagan but they kept giving me updates and even offered me to come visit Sagan in a private room during the time she was staying with them. Sagan generally is an anxious cat, but they soothed her nerves (and mine). Dr. Forbes even checked in with me about Sagan a few times after we returned home with her. It was obvious to me that she truly cares about her patients. I highly recommend Compassionate Care and will be returning to visit them for all of my pets' health needs!

CCAH has the most amazing hours imaginable. Open til 10 PM many nights a week, all Saturdays and some Sundays. It's crazy! Have had nothing but positive experiences here with all of the vets and staff members. Our dog is scared of everything and their "fear free" approach works. We can tell she actually gets a little excited about getting to the vet. Whoa! I have referred several friends here.
