Washtenaw Veterinary Hospital has been servicing Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti and the surrounding communities since 1998. As a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital we are able to provide comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care.
We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, as well as an on-line pharmacy, in-hospital dental and surgery suite equipped with laser and dental radiograph technology, in-house x-ray and ultrasound capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, along with comfortable exam rooms and outdoor walking areas.

At Washtenaw Veterinary Hospital we strive to offer not only optimal veterinary care but also personalized attention to you and your pet, thus allowing you the confidence that your pet's best interest is our top priority. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy. The doctors at this clinic are caring and knowledgeable. Both vets I've worked with have been friendly, informative, and sensitive with my dog. Come to this clinic for expert service and care! But I might also offer a few suggestions. The woman at the check-out counter today was visibly struggling to figure out something on her computer for another client while I waited. When it was my turn, she had a very difficult time figuring out my receipts, forms, etc. On top of it all, she wrote the wrong next-appointment date on my reminder card. Luckily I had already put it in my calendar, but this could be confusing for some. Perhaps she needs a bit more training. Also, back in 2015 I brought my dog in for just a vaccination update. We didn't see the doctor, and a vet tech simply administered the shot and we were off within minutes. They didn't charge me for the visit (just the vaccination) which I felt was an appropriate, thoughtful way to deal with the situation. Today, I was charged $18.50 for "technician services" when my dog was out of the room for literally 1 minute for his vaccination. While it's really not a big deal, perhaps some consistency in how you bill, and for what services, would be appreciated by all. Thanks! We will see you again soon!

They are nice here but very very expensive. I never leave here paying less than $200. They refer you out to MSU or other specialists. We found another vet that does the work himself and is much less expensive. I felt like I was paying for their fancy Ann arbor location and beautiful office!

Nothing, but thanks to the team here at Washtenaw Veterinary Hospital. After two day stay at the ER Vet on Jackson, where we could not get Ralphie's seizures under control regardless of amount of medicine and treatment - she just kept seizing without heavy sedative. My wife and I made the hard decision to end Ralphie's suffering. We picked her up and specifically drove Ralphie to WVH so her last moments could be with the folks who cared for her for the past three years since we moved to Ann Arbor. Will continue to take our other two fur children here. I also manage 47 general practice vet. hospitals in the southern US and have a good baseline for comparison - these folks are legit. I'm embarrassed that it's taken me over two months after moving out of Ann Arbor to write this review, but seeing a new vet in Boston reminded us how lucky we were to have had Dr. Danskin, Dr. Eberly, and the whole WVH staff for our 2 dogs. I wish Yelp offered more stars. Drs. Danskin and Eberly are as compassionate as they come, and truly seemed to care about our pups (and their people) and their well-being. They were thorough in their examinations, and took all the time we needed to understand and feel comfortable with what they were explaining. We never felt rushed in the slightest; we would often spend 30 or 45 minutes with the doctors. The WVH staff was equally caring about our doggos, and ran a very smooth operation. In addition, their facility is top notch, it's a beautiful and comforting facility. We cannot recommend Washtenaw Veterinary Hospital highly enough, oddly enough it's one of the things we'll miss most about Ann Arbor!

This place is great. The staff love animals, they are cool with my kids. Good follow-up and they don't nickle and dime you on costs. Highly recommend.
