Serving the greater Ann Arbor area
Four Paws Veterinary Wellness was founded by Monica Turenne, DVM, CVA.
Mission Statement:
Four Paws is a house call practice dedicated to bringing the best of Eastern and Western veterinary medicine to your dog or cat in the comfort of your home. We take great pride in understanding the diversity of needs in our dog and cat loving community. To that end, we consistently strive to meet you “where you are” – physically, emotionally and philosophically. We offer individualized care and treatment plans based not only on medical need and lifestyle but also on your family’s core values. We provide exceptional veterinary care and we practice with integrity and honesty. We treasure the long term relationships we form with you and your companion and consider it an honor to join you in this journey. We thank you for your trust and for welcoming us into your home.
Services:
We provide a range of services including wellness and illness exams, vaccinations, heartworm testing, feline leukemia/FIV testing, diagnostics for ear infections, urinary problems, skin masses, diarrhea, vomiting, allergies (itching), eye problems, upper respiratory illnesses and more. We are also able to perform bloodwork and other laboratory tests.
Our Chinese medicine services include acupuncture, Chinese herbology and food therapy. Chinese medicine is amazingly helpful for a variety of conditions including arthritis, intervertebral disc disease, cancer, asthma, post-surgical pain and swelling control, neurological disorders, to name a few.
Nutritional counseling at Four Paws can be an in-home discussion on the dietary requirements of various lifestages or illnesses. Or it could involve a "field trip" to a local pet food store to evaluate diets and determine the best food for your friend.
In addition, hospice services are offered to those patients who are terminal, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free end-of-life plan. Hospice allows owners the time to say a longer goodbye and offers acceptance and mutual respect on the part of patient and caregiver, as the loving owner tends to their companion in the last stage of life.
Loving and compassionate euthanasia are also an important part of what we do as we aim to allow families to say goodbye in the privacy of their home, in their own manner and style.
