Fully repaired my Epson Stylus printer

I'm an independent application software and system performance analyst with approximately 37 years experience in the IT environment. I teach and coach PC courses and also provide individual services relating to all PC application, security, and performance issues. I have experience with other PC support and service centers services and highly recommend "Computer Corner" above all others. They are honest, competent, very reasonably priced. These are my "go to" guys when I've reached a dead end in my PC analysis and need help and direction. This PC and PC related computer diagnosis, repair and sales center is REALLY THAT GOOD!!!

It's hard to find a place with their level of customer service these days! I took in my Epson printer and they spent about 15 minutes on it. It was an easy fix. I had run out of ink and the machine was throwing the wrong error. They searched their store and popped in some different cartridges and tested it all out. It worked just fine. They didn't even charge me and refused to take the cartridges back. They just asked me to come back again, and I WILL!

I dropped off a laptop with a loose power jack, with the understanding that they would diagnose whether or not it could be fixed (this is what the person I'd talked to said they would do when I dropped it off - as I explained, it still worked at that point, but would freeze periodically due to the loose power jack). After two weeks they called to say they'd tried re-soldering the power jack with no success - and now, of course, the computer doesn't work at all. I am frustrated that they hadn't warned me up-front that their efforts could completely break the machine, that they were going to do more than simply "diagnose" before getting back to me - I would have just left well enough alone and still had at least a semi-working computer.

The staff was pleasant enough when I dropped my PC off under the impression that it would be diagnosed for free. Three days later I received a call that a tech had diagnosed the problem and that he had tightened a loose CPU heatsink and reconnected some power cables. When I went to pick up my PC, they tried charging me 70 dollars for labor. When I questioned this, the lady helping me said that the technician had to take apart the computer to fix it. I didn't understand how else you could diagnose a problem, or why I hadn't been told of the charge BEFORE the "repair" was done. She quickly let up and said I didn't have to pay, which made me think she was just trying to get a quick buck out of me even though they promise free diagnostics. Be wary and make sure you tell them to not authorize anything requiring payment unless they ask first.
