I had 4 encounters with the Colombian Consulate in Toronto recently.  One phone call, one Email, and two in person visits.  Long story short these people are not very friendly nor helpful unless your lengua materna es espanol....  If you speak English as a first language be ready for eye rolling and stone walling.

On a good note most Colombians are lovely and friendly, I am sure the Consulate staff have merely lost their manners through too much big city living in Toronto.

Los correos electronicos deberian estipular con mas claridad los metodos de pago, conjunto con la informacion de la cita en cuestion de renovar pasaportes.  Demostraron muy poca flexibilidad y entendimiento por circumstancias fuera de control, no me dieron la oportunidad de correr a el banco y conseguir los dolares Americanos por la simple razon que cerraban a la 1pm.  Aun cuando maneje por una hora y media (mas de 100km) para la cita.  Por cuestion de pura pereza y por estar afanados de irse, no les importa ayudarle a uno.  Que poca simpatia por el ser humano.  Definitivamente un mal ejemplo de la sociedad Colombiana, demostrando lo peresozos e inhumanos que son, atipico de los Colombianos.
