The Corte Madera Parks & Recreation Department’s mission is to create community through People, Parks and Programs.
To achieve our mission, we provide year-round recreational programs, classes, sports leagues, summer camps, events and facility rentals for residents of Corte Madera and surrounding communities. Activities take place at the spacious, recently remodeled Corte Madera Community Center and adjoining 20-acre Town Park, the Cover School in East Corte Madera and at other Corte Madera locations . Offerings range from Gymnastics for 2-5 year olds to soccer leagues for Kindergarten-8th graders, from Open Gym to softball leagues for adults, and from AARP Driver Safety to computer classes for adults 55+. Events include Daddy-Daughter and Mother-Son Dances, Movie Nights, Breakfast with Santa and Big Band Dances.
Facility and Field Rentals
One of the ways we serve Corte Madera and surrounding communities is by making the recently-remodeled Corte Madera Community Center, and its adjoining garden-setting patio, available for rent for wedding receptions, bar and bat mitzvahs, memorials, birthdays, business meetings, fundraisers, dances and performances. The airy main hall has capacity for 250 people, seats 180, has a large commercial kitchen, and is equipped with stage, piano, lighting and PA systems. Picnic sites and playing fields are also available for rental. Call 415.927.0572 for availability.
Corte Madera Town Park, bounded by Tamalpais Drive on the south and Pixley Avenue on the west, is owned by the Town of Corte Madera. All park use is managed by the Corte Madera Parks & Recreation Dept.
