we stayed last week. Hotel looks great compare to last stay. New carpet and New painting looks good. Clean bed and dust free hotel in reasonable price.

staff was friendly and Breakfast was delicious. Whenever we come in Newport news we stay at hotel. Nice location and near to good mall.

Clean and very friendly staff. Price reasonable. There was renovation going on when we stayed. we stayed new renovated room. Bed was clean and good housekeeping service. 

Breakfast we had was great~!. We enjoyed our two days stay. Still they are in process of renovation. I hope I will come back and see the hotel

Very poor customer service. No one at front desk at 5pm on a Friday. Tried calling the hotel only for no one to answer. Was given attitude by the clerk when I mentioned I had to wait a long time and that there was no way for guests to let someone know they are there.

I am the customer. I should not be given attitude.

Room was very dirty and lots of dust. Desk is in very poor condition and looks like it has paint on it.

Do NOT stay here! Very poor management and cleanliness!

This hotel needs to be shut down.  Period. Take a look at all my photos from last week.  This has nothing to do with the undergoing renovation. This is a housekeeping issue.  The floor was never vacuumed. you can actually see layers of white dust.  Restroom was not cleaned at all. Stripped shower curtain with mold on it. Hair everywhere.  Bed was re-made and filled with hair and stains.  As other reviewers mentioned, their AC is broken.  No matter what we did, we couldn't turn it off.  The room was freezing cold.  My friends room was infested with bugs.  They had to be moved to other room.  We've decided to leave early and go to Hampton location.  It was spotless.  Two positives on this location - courteous "night" front desk (day time staff is a whole different story) and the kitchen staff.  I should've checked Google reviews before I booked my stay there.  As other reviewer mentioned, they have good reviews on other sites for some reason.  AVOID.

The rooms are nice, as are the facilities. The problem was the sheets on both beds smelled like cigarettes. That means either the housekeeper smokes and didn't wash their hands before making the bed, or the last guest did and the sheets weren't changed. Neither is appealing.
