If you're in the Point Reyes area, your visit really needs to include at least a quick stop at Cowgirl Creamery. When I last went, I sampled their delicious cheeses (including a seasonal cheese), ate a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup (YUM), and talked with tourists from India and Belgium who had heard about Cowgirl Creamery and knew that they had to come visit. Definitely come hungry, because you can really easily fill up with a cheese tasting plus some food from their cafe.

Great cheese collection and a glimpse of how it's made. The to-go sandwiches were good. Nice picnic grass area outside. No bathrooms though, which is located a block away.

This is a very neat shop. It is a butt pricey but there is a pretty big selection of food that you can get. I really liked that when you buy bottled water there, they encourage you to bring it back to the deli counter for free refills. They really encourage sustainable practices.

Picked up sandwiches, Mt. Tam cheese, and a baguette on our way to Limantour Beach. Everything was great! There's an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your purchases, too.
