If you're looking for a really unusual, beautiful handmade gift, don't miss Zuma when you are in Point Reyes Station. This little shop on the main street is artfully stocked with exceptional art pieces and jewelry from indigenous artisans. I purchased a Peruvian gourd container, stunningly hand-painted in traditional motifs the last time I was there. It's a piece around which you could design a whole room and I appreciated the affordable price tag. The jewelry selection is very tempting and includes some very lovely Southwestern pieces. The atmosphere of the shop is peaceful and pleasant and the staff is unpretentious and helpful. You'll want to spend some time in the shop, investigating all of the displays from different lands and are sure to find something to appreciate and take home with you. I give Zuma thumbs up for bringing some of the world's finest handcrafts from some of the world's noblest societies to Point Reyes Station.
