This is my favorite place in university city. Must try the soft she'll shrimp and mushroom mazemen and sake sangria. The staff is always friendly and their head chef noticed my partner and I were going in often and came over to chat with us and bring us a special appetizer. Great food and great vibes!

Amazing food!!! I've been there several times and will return again. Everything is so tasty and nicely presented. Coctkail and happy hour selection is amazing

Down to visit my daughter at Penn.  A friend and my daughter chose Cozara because it was convenient. All was going well until I finished my dish of short rib in a gelatinous sauce.  When about done, out from under the sauce like a prehistoric being crawled a 3 inch water bug/cockroach covered in the gooey and sticky sauce.  The waiter actually suggested that it had crawled from the table into the dish., it arrived that way and may have been placed in the dish with the vegetables before the hot meat was added.  I think he ate his way out.  Well it was pretty disgusting and I was queazy afterwards for days.  I know in some places these are good for protein but in Philly I prefer to get protein the regular way. We were all pretty grossed out and I will not return.......While it could happen anywhere, they were not equipped to deal with this event and didn't;t handle well.  Meal did not get comped.

Server was rude. It took her 15 minutes to come to the table once we seated. They also do not split checks for large groups where people may want to pay seperately. The food was decent but very small portion sizes.  Also everyone’s food came out at different times, so some were left waiting to eat theres and it got cold. Will not return.

Great over all Japanese food (not just sushi) in university city. Very conveniently located rrom both Penn and Drexel and has a great ambience. I must say that their service is somewhat slow and underwhelming but food is pretty good overall. I'd recommend trying the bento box combos.
