So glad to have a Federal Donuts in University City! I've been very pleased with the donuts, the coffee, and most recently, the fried chicken!  They offer a chicken sandwich on a potato roll with cheese, pickles, and spicy sauce, but they always accommodate my request for no pickles or spicy sauce with a smile!  The chicken is perfectly cooked and fried, and more importantly, moist and juicy on the inside.  Who would have thought donuts, chicken, and coffee would go so well together?  Federal Donuts has started a tasty culinary revolution!

I wish they had more of a selection. But the donut recommended to me, the Irish Potato (no potato-coconut, cinnamon, and cream cheese), was delicious. It was a bit crowded, but staff was quick and friendly. Update- came back early Sunday and they were fully stocked and delicious.

Best friend chicken I've had, and the donut was good too. I just don't think the price is justified. My friend got the sandwich and that seems like a better deal.

Donuts are really good! I only saw cake style donuts so hopefully that is your thing. Did not have the chicken, but they were serving it at 10:30am. Coffee was okay. Food was good quality for the price. Overall a nice breakfast.

The donuts are creative and they do deliver in flavor. They run out of the fancy blinds pretty early but they have the hot and fresh ones. The fried chicken has a pretty crunchy breading you can choose the type of seasoning or sauces. There are some seats but it gets crowded fast. Service is pretty efficient.
