This is a beautiful park! Cumberland Gap offers some flat-out fantastic nature that will surely leave you in awe. First of all, the visitor center is fantastic, outlining in great detail the history of the park and of the people that migrated there. Second, the staff is incredibly personable and knowledgable on the history of the park and local area. Third, and most importantly, the park is amazing. It's weird, in a way, that the park is so nature-y yet so close to highways and towns. But once you're inside you're taken to a world of nature and beauty that will make you never want to leave. There's plenty to do in the park (visitor center, drive, hike, lookouts, etc.) so you can't possibly be bored. Overall, a fantastic park and a definite must-visit!

Hiking the trails is Awesome! Need to take precautions and try not to go alone as you never know what kind of people you might encounter on the trails. Otherwise always prepare for the weather, and have your camera ready for some amazing views. Breathe deep and enjoy the wonderful creation!

Informative and we'll managed visitor center. The movie explaining the history was very well produced. Nice hiking trails. Don't miss the overlook. Stunning!

Clean area, Cleary marked trails, great visitors center. The workers were super friendly to my boys, who ask a ton of questions. Beautiful scenery both seasons I've gone (summer and winter). Most trails you could pick a long or short version, which is great with small kids.

Love that place. It's a great place to run, and bring dogs with you. Five stars all the way!
