This review is based off horrible service I received about 3 years ago, it was that bad of service that even 3 years later I am still wanting to write a review. In a nut shell after having my bike serviced here the motor blew and the bike was destroyed. I brought my CBR to John for him to do a valve job. After the work was complete I picked up my bike and rode off. Everything seemed fine to start, but then I started noticing some oil leaking from the gasket. I called up John and he told me he did not replace the gasket when he took the valve cover off. John said he would order the gasket and replace it once it came in. It took almost a month for them to get the gasket in. This bike was my daily driver so I had to ride it during this time, and constantly check oil levels to make sure it was fine. When it did come in John called me up and let me know I could bring the bike in. John was nice enough to give me a loaner bike for the few days well he was replacing the gasket. I picked the bike up after John replaced the gasket and drove off. Once again everything seemed fine. Until, not even a week went by and the motor was blown. I was riding down the highway and noticed a yellow liquid spraying from the motor. I pulled over and noticed it was coming from the reserve coolant tank. So I brought the bike to the noho honda dealer, and had them take a look at it. They told me the yellow liquid was a mixture of oil and coolant and the only way this could have happened was a bad gasket. It doesn't take much to put 1 and 1 together and realize that this happened as a result of letting John work on this bike. So in conclusion, be weary of letting DA BIKE SHOP work on your bike as it may result in your bike ending up in worse condition then it started.

I took my Suzuki Katana to have it looked over as I just bought the bike. The owner was very nice and helpful. I called a few days later and he said he found nothing wrong with the bike and I didn't owe him anything. I went to go pick up the bike and he had done minor adjustments I never got around to doing, the bike feels much nicer to ride now. Although he wasn't going to charge me anything I felt he deserved money and he accepted. I will be going back for any maintenance on all my bikes.

This is the place to go! Best shop Hands down. Fast turn around, and best prices in town Ive been coming here for 6 years and trust this Tip with your life as I have with mine. With his expert experience and skilled craftsmanship John and his workspace "Da Bikeshop" that only compliments the signs of a working professional and a master at his craft. John will never turn you away and he is very honest. one time, years back I had picked up an 08 r6s john saved my life. without asking I had my front forks and triple clamps to be raised to a taller setting. when i picked up my bike the very same day john had a field day on repairs that were not what I intialy came to him about and to top off how cool this man is i came to notice a new part on my bike at no extra charge. He said it was for safety reasons. The I said "is that what i think it is"? John put on a easy pull clutch because he new I have a broken hand and this bike is my only transportation. This man is the Motorcycle wizard that can fix anything and will fix anything . He has singlehandedly fixed every problem that generally may come up from general maintenance and ones that dont: to rebuilds to wiring shorts, replaced tires, countless brake pads, sprockets, handlebar kits... This shop can order or find any part or most gear at the best price in town. Dont waist your money at thousand oaks powersports. or some rinky dink shop who says oh you need your carbs cleaned when reality your bike may not be running on all cylnders because your coils are shot. Only john will tell you whats up because hes the only dude around it seems to have a conscious and the know how to be the Man and have the Best Motorcycle store in Los Angeles. Dont be a fool and go to Honda of north hollywood. the same job at Johns shop will save you almost half of what other shops will charge. Feel Free to throw him some gratuity or a free lunch because this Guy deserves a trophy.
