This bike shop is the best and we are lucky enough to have them in our neighborhood. The owners are kind, honest and so helpful. The prices are reasonable. We highly recommend them.

This is my LBS (local bike shop) so I'm always coming here for most of my parts, tubes, and even tools. They have a good selection of [mostly Chrome brand] bags, which is great if you want to physically see and wear them before purchasing. I've had my wheels trued here at a fair price, and they came out beautifully straight. Now, the reason I gave it three stars is due to the installation and tuning labor. I brought a road bike that had some pretty bad shifting. I don't have too much experience with tuning so I brought it in. I explained the problem and was charged $20 to tighten the shifters. Being excited that I would get everything in working order, I took it for a spin and attempted switching gears. I was bummed to find out that the gears were grinding to the chain and were exactly the same as I brought it in, the only real difference being a "tighter" manual shifter. I bring the bike back in and explain the problem that it simply wasn't shifting into the last gear properly, including some non-smooth shifting into the other gears. They attempted to diagnose the problem and fiddled with it some more. This time around, one of the mechanics got on the bike and test rode it. He experienced the problem and attempted to fix it. I'm not sure what he did, but when I took it for another ride, it felt the same, and the chain even came off while I was riding. I was disappointed. So I bring the bike in again and explain that it was the same. After fiddling some more, I am told the cables are too tight and have to be replaced, which I found odd because all the cables and shifters were brand new, it just needed to be tuned. I explain this is not necessary and tell them if there is anything else I could do. The guy ends up telling me not to use my outer ring in conjunction with my smaller gears and vice versa. He said the bike just wasn't meant for that kind of shifting. I didn't understand what he meant by that, considering it is a 1976 Puegeot Road Bike. There was nothing else they could do so I left and was out $20 for the same untuned bike. I don't recommend bringing in road bikes for a tune up here, as I've had a few others tell me they mostly specialize in track bikes and usually don't touch road bikes anyways.
