Stopped in the other day to have a watch band sized and a pin replaced on a second band. Told me the sizing was $15 which I thought was pretty steep but they are local so I thought OK. Then told me it was another $15 to put a $0.25 pin in the other band which will take all of one minute. Decided to take my business elsewhere.

I want to start this review off by stating I am a HUGE shop local fist person. So when my good friend got engaged I encouraged her to not get her ring at Zale’s but instead to try local! We went into the shop ready to drop 4 grand. When I mentioned she had gotten engaged not a smile or a congrats nothing! They seemed more bothered by us being there then anything else. They provided the bare minimum (think Walmart service for Gucci prices). They had very little to offer and at BEST acted annoyed that we were there. My friend didn’t even think they were open since they didn’t bother to turn on the sign. It kills me to write this review I love our town and all the shops in it. I don’t know if they thought she didn’t have the money or what but they were Beyond rude! Treating us like teenagers wasting their time! We were the only ones in the store and now I know why! I wanted to have the diamonds reset in a heirloom ring of my own and was going to have it replaced there but not anymore! So sad that even locally I can not find a decent Jeweler! Whatever happened to costumer service, your attitude just cost you about 5k! Sad and disheartened that telling my friend that local is always better when clearly in this case it was NOT!

They are very expensive. I took a ring in to be reset. They charged me for the new setting and kept the old one. When I asked for the old one, I was told that I should have told them that I wanted it to begin with. They 'looked around' and came back to tell me that they had no idea where it was. So on top of paying for the setting, they got more out of me by keeping my gold.

The first time I came to Delaware diamonds was to get an opal of mine set, when I went back to get at a first quick glance in the store it looked good but when I got home and took it out of the bag I saw it was scratched on the back of the stone and when I put it on a chain and around my neck it was very disappointing because u could see the scratch when u turned different ways in the light being that it is an Ethiopian opal with the colors of the stone moving about u could see the scratch one moment and at other times not. I never said anything because I felt like they would try to deny it. Well like a dummy I went back because a chain of mine broke and I needed resoldered and since I can't drive, I get rides from my family and they are only 5 mins from where I live. I went back to pick up my chain and she took it out of the ziplock bag to show me the chain which it did look good then she zipped it back up and when I got home it was broke, at first I thought they must have not resoldered it good and then on closer inspection the break was in a different area, it broke when she zipped the bag back up with a small part of the chain hanging out, I guess she did that so it wouldn't get knotted up but the chain only weighs a couple grams so she shouldn't have zipped the bag as tightly as she did because when I opened it back up it was broke, I called to let her know what happened, as in the daughter, and she got rude and act like I was lying, it is really upsetting because that was 20 dollars wasted and it would have cost me another 20 to get it refixed, unbelievable and bad business practices and not the friendliest either. If any of my friends ever need there jewelry fixed I warn them to not go anywhere near these people! I will NEVER step foot in there store again! Very bad experience!

I went to Delaware Diamonds to have my ring removed from my finger (it was stuck and I didn't want to pay hospital prices) I found that the owner was very nice and helpful. I cost nothing to have my ring removed and only $35 to have fixed and make into a bigger size. I was very impressed and I hope they stay in business.
