Dick's Classic Garage is a part of the Central Texas Museum of Automotive History. The museum is dedicated to the preservation and display of the history of the automobile.

Story

We are a 501(c)3, non-profit organization whose goal is to provide an educational and entertaining experience for our guests. The mission of each museum is to develop an understanding of the history of the automobile and its relation to society.

After all of the years of loving Classic Cars, of coming to San Marcos for 30 years, and having our children attend Texas State, we had no idea that such a place existed right under our noses. We stumble upon it this passed summer, and we were blown away!!! We loved to be surrounded by all these beauties, shiny, without a speck of dust in or on them. They did a fantastic job sharing the very unique history of each car, that managed to transport you to that place in time. AMAZING!!!

Was not sure about going here but my kids talked me into the trip. A little pricey for me, but the museum is a non-profit I found out. All funds go back into restoration and care of the museum and the many cars. Great layout, friendly staff, spectacular collection, and unique cars. I would say it was a couple hours well spent. They also rent out halls for meetings! A car enthusiast dream place! Special and unique hard to find gifts in the shop. Signs, hot wheels, and other momentoes related to cars. Even a Batmobile!

Enjoyed going here! Beautiful cars with detailed descriptions and some info about what was going on in the country the year certain cars were made. Great displays.

Outstanding as always. So many great cars that are well taken care of. You can breeze through it quickly if you are just wanting to look but can spend hours there if you are a detailed looker.

What a FABULOUS place for a car guy and his wife! We had to walk by and see the Tucker twice, so amazing. This is, indeed, an ART gallery! The lovely ladies at the front, Libby and Stasia, were so nice and friendly. Will have to make the trip from Lubbock again sometime!
