This place is a magical journey through dough and meat! The noodles are amazing, the soup dumplings are a symphony of joy exploding in your mouth! The staff was attentive and courteous and the food comes the moment it's ready. This is an experience not to be missed! Incredible food, fun atmosphere, and delightful staff.
Prices are cheap and it’s not as busy like DTF. Quality isn’t as good but it’s enough to satisfy cravings for sure. I think their beef wrap is fantastic. Flavourful tender beef shank, the green onion pancake wrap isn’t oily either. Their cucumber appetizer is really good too. Love the presentation of it :
Delicious fare! And surprisingly, they’ve a bunch of vegetarian options!! I loved their vegetarian Ma La noodles! Their vegetable potstickers, vegetable dumplings and Dan Dan noodles are all yummy! Most of the dishes are kind of small plate-ish. My friends I typically order for the table and share and that’s a good way to try different dishes and bond with your friends too! This Dough Zone was full when we visited on a Wednesday evening. However, we only had to wait for 5 minutes to get a table. And, their staff are courteous! You can find parking around the block - but, if not - you can park in the building and the parking can be validated at Dough Zone. Just inform your wait staff about the parking.
This was a great place to try a variety of dumplings and similar food. We loved that the tab was left open and we could add other tasty samplings as we dined. My favorite was the fried chicken dumpling. Parking: There is a safe and reasonable parking garage around the corner.
First off they were courteous, clean, and covid conscious. We went just before lunch time, but even then I think we would have felt like we had plenty of space. The experience as a whole felt fun but sleek. If you get nothing else get the Xiao Long Bao / chicken soup dumplings! My God, they’re amazing. This was my first experience with these and I get it now. Wow. They made me want to order a bamboo steam basket and make recreating them my new hobby. The dough was so tender it gave way to our chopsticks with little effort and flooded our spoons with brothy goodness. Excellent flavor that was neither too rich or modest. I wish we got a double order. I will order gyoza or potstickers almost whenever I see them on the menu somewhere. So fried wonton dumpling was the dish I was most experienced with. The pork and scallion felt familiar and wonderful and just a little more substantial compared to how delicate the soup dumplings were. They also had ever so crispy bottoms, which might be why I love them so much. That light crunch with the comforting warm pillow of savory goodness. It secures them as one of my favorite foods in general. Before you think I was just starry eyed for any food and it couldn’t have all been that good - it wasn’t. I expected a crunchier punch of veggies from the scallion pancake, but instead it was mostly just wafery and crispy and not a lot else. To me, it tasted more like flour than anything else but my husband liked it. In all transparency, I based my expectations off of unassociated instagram posts so that’s not too fair. Still didn’t love it when dropping that comparison. Dan-Dan noodles were intensely flavorful - almost too much so for me. There was a lot of strong peanut, vinegar, and salty umami fighting it out for supremacy. It seemed that the saltiness won out. Again, my husband took over that dish. We finished by splitting a red bean bao bun which had the perfect amount of bounce and light sweetness.
First time trying dumplings and this place did not disappoint. We tried many different dumplings and potstickers, everything was soft and delicious. The cucumber salad is a must. I would definitely recommend this place.Recommended dishesSteamed Dumplings
Even when it was busy for a weekend evening, we were seated almost immediately! The interior was so pretty and I loved how the atmosphere was. Everyone was very kind and helped us out whenever we needed it. We got: Pork Xiao Long Bao, Q-Bao, Fried Wontons w/ Chili Sauce, Chicken & Vegetable Wontons w/ Chili Sauce, Sweet & Sour Cucumber, Dan Dan Noodles, and Noodles w/ Minced Pork! Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! My favorite would be the noodle dishes! I loved them so much!

I was lucky enough to experience so much of the menu here do to an en masse order of food for the day after a wedding of two wonderful friends. S The staff was amazing, quickly in an out with dripping food while also being super attentive to people asking for information or additional sides. The food was exquisite. Everything I ate made me want to get seconds of that thing, even as more arrived. It was all so insanely delicious I don’t think I ever got seconds of something because I was always so happy with the next best newest thing. 10/10 amazing food. Amazing staff. And all while knowing it was a safe space to be.
Great dumpling spot! They also have many soup noodle dishes that are all yummy! Everything is so flavorful! Highly recommend the pork xiao long bao and the fried baos which is a specialty for this location- they come with soup inside and panfried on the outside, but sooo good! Another favorite is the Dandan noodle they make a vegetarian option too! It's spicy but good mouth numbing good! We always get the sweet and sour cucumber appetizer! It comes a coil-cut cucumber. Get the passionfruit green tea! It's sweet but good! a nice treat. Service is attentive and quick! We went to lunch and were seated right away and out within an hour. I appreciate the fast service. Ps I appreciate that they are busy but not crazy busy like DTF and the food is just as good. Parking: Street parking or you park in the garage around the corner from the restaurant attached to the same building- VENN apartments. Get a parking garage ticket and Dough Zone will validate for free with dining.
