Great doctor, every time go I go in he listens to everything I have to say, offers suggestions and asks my opinion and makes sure I'm okay with a medicine or treatment needed when I need them (I react to Meds strongly). He is very nice and makes sure I'm fully taken care of before he leaves and I never feel rushed.

Dr. Beckstead always takes the time to care for me and my family. He is very knowledgeable and experienced and makes us feel like we are important. Excellent office staff as well!

I am extremely pleased with my choice of Dr. Beckstead! In October 2016 I relocated to Bountiful, UT from New England (MA/NH Border). I am, sadly, at a point where I have numerous medical conditions which I am dealing with; these conditions, while not life threatening, are extremely life altering and require a group of 5 Doctors/Specialists - beyond having a PCP - to treat each condition. The relocation to UT was extraordinarily stressful as it meant leaving my established 'home base' and team of Doctors and moving to an area where I had zero clue regarding who, where or how to find a new team of physicians. Finally, after much research and the assistance of an amazing walk-in clinic that helped with my care until finding my new team, I discovered Dr. Beckstead (my first appointment was in January of 2017) and I honestly could not be happier! Dr. Beckstead is not just 'my primary care physician', he serves as my 'point person' or the quarterback of my medical team; all of my providers communicate amazingly well and he facilitates that flawlessly. He listens very intently, he discusses things in a manner that is 'layman' and technical enough to ensure you understand, he asks great questions & responds to questions just as well and - in my own case - he truly makes the care provided into a thoroughly cooperative endeavor. If you invest your energy in your medical care with Dr. Beckstead, he invests just as much, if not more. (In my case, I arrive at every appointment with a notebook & pen and take copious notes, reviewing them with Dr. Beckstead before departing, and this ensures that we are always on the same page. In doing so, Dr. Beckstead, while the final - and well deserved - authority, really makes it collaborative between us. This collaboration, considering all I deal with, is exactly what I need.) When I've need forms to be filled out & signed by him, I've had them back in 24 hours! That is amazing for a Doctors office. When I've felt like I need certain tests done because I know my own body & conditions so well, Dr. Beckstead has been amazingly responsive in ordering the tests. (This is all part of that collaboration resulting from taking a strong role in my own care program which makes our working relationship so smooth.) Yes, there are times that he gets busy and running behind. However, to my mind, it happens far less than the average doctor's office. Sure, I've had a time or two where I wait beyond my scheduled appointment time but that is the exception, not the rule. Furthermore, even when I KNOW he is running behind & I KNOW he is stressing to 'catch up' or minimize a patients waiting, his attention to detail & level of intensive listening when in the room with me have never wavered. The bottom line is this: if you're willing to take an equal level of ownership in your own care and are able to work within the confines of his work week (he is not in the office on Thursdays) then you cannot find a better doctor in my opinion. He is the best doctor! He is attentive, understanding, friendly, and really cares about his patients. He makes visiting the doctor such a positive experience. We refer him to everyone.
