I would love to give Dunwoody Pharmacy a five star review. I like to support local businesses. I don’t mind paying the “administrative fees” that they supposedly “need” to charge on top of copays even though this violates their agreements with insurers. Yet every time I come in or call, they make me feel like they don’t want my business. They are doing me a favor to fill my scripts. They don’t care about me as a customer or a patient. I can live with paying extra for better service, but if you want to feel valued as a customer and cared for by a heathcare provider, you would do better to go elsewhere. Ever since Bryce left, DP has lost its way … and its soul. Too bad.
I wish that I would've read the reviews before trying out this pharmacy. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. The entire place reeks of vinegar. As soon as you walk in, the rancid odor hits you. I've never smelled vinegar so strong before, especially in a store. The owner/pharmacist packaged my prescription in a weird jar that I've never received from any other pharmacist before, which makes it extremely hard to use the prescription. The color was even off! It appeared white when it should be yellow. He refused to give a refund and was extremely rude on the phone, speaking over me and in a pretentious tone. I switched pharmacies to Concord and am very relieved that I did. I highly recommend Concord or any CVS over this awful place. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME, ENERGY, AND TROUBLE.
I personally only deal with smaller/family ran pharmacies since I started my own family. I was excited to test things out here so I transferred a prescription unaware that they make you put a card on file because they want their want their money in hand and do not primarily accept insurance solely. Not here to bash anyone’s business, but let others know if you’re paying solely with insurance go somewhere else. My prescription has been paid for by my insurance for years, the lady wanted to tell me they wont cover it but that’s not the case. This pharmacy wants a direct payment and not to deal with insurance. Just wish I would’ve been advised of that before transferring a prescription and costing myself time I didn’t really have to spare.
Personal service, which is so often not available at the big chains, is here in abundance. You can reach someone on the phone quickly, promised return phone calls are always made, and you can get curbside pickup for your prescription or other purchases. They have rearranged the interior to accommodate all of dangers associated with the coronavirus. We have also gotten our flu and shingles vaccines here. They have a seamless operation for vaccines with full follow-up for any second doses. A pharmacy most certainly worth trying as an alternative to the big chains where the unfortunate workers no longer have the chance to give personal service.
I've been using this company for the last 2 years! Great people and great service
Tired of the corporate pharmacies run around? " Yup I was too, that's when I was referred to Dunwoody Pharmacy. Customer care really is A+ here.. I have been with them over 10 years now, not ONCE have I ever been hung up on, or my meds not ready on time. They do compounding right there if you need it. Most corps have to order out these types of medications. Another great point, if you have questions and I mean serious questions about lets say a new medication that you would normally feel nervous about asking someone about much less looking an employee in the eyes for the answer. Well rest assured no matter the questions they have the answers and a private place to have that conversation. If you are looking for a new pharmacy that takes your health and meds seriously, please check them out. They are well worth it.
I prefer to support local pharmacies, and I was lucky to find Dunwoody Pharmacy when I moved up here a two years ago. Great customer service, quick turn around times and delivery! If you are tired of retail chain pharmacies, I definitely recommend coming here.
The pharmacist is awesome! Very helpful, kind, patient and personable however the red head behind the counter yelled out the prescription I was picking up for my husband which is not only incredibly unprofessional but I also believe a HIPA violation. She was very short and rude with me. It left me feeling pretty confused about why she would be so unkind to me and so unprofessional yelling out my husbands prescription while there were so many people around. No discretion whatsoever. The pharmacist however really saved my entire experience. If it weren’t for how kind and professional he was I would have left and never returned. The prescriptions we used to fill at Carlton’s but they closed and transferred all of the prescriptions to Dunwoody Pharmacy. This was my first experience there and I did share with the pharmacist how I felt about the woman behind the counter and how she treated me. I’m hoping my next visit goes better, otherwise we’ll likely be transferring our prescriptions to a different pharmacy. The pharmacist however was a total gem!
This pharmacy is the best in everything that they do! We are so thankful that we found you. You are treated with respect, honesty and smiling faces. If they are out of stock they are kind enough to order it for you. They remind me so much how every business you went into the employees are so kind to you. If you haven’t tried them before the you definitely should. We hope that all you have a wonderful and blessed day!
I've had my RX filled at Dunwoody Pharmacy for about a year now and always appreciate their efficiency, speed and professionalism. It's clear they're connected to the people coming in the door and live up to their reputation as a community pharmacy interested in their customers' health and wellness. Great place and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to switch pharmacies for a better experience. Nice update on the new signage and logo they've started using as well.
