My experience at the Ghana Embassy in Washington DC today was absolutely superb.  There has been a distinct improvement with the process for visa requests and I felt I had to express my appreciation. The staff were polite, helpful, efficient and thorough.  In addition the turnaround was fast. Absolutely great service!

I  also want to applaud the New Ambassador and his staff for making my experience wonderful and I am definitely proud to be a citizen.

I believe things are getting better. I had an excellent experience renewing my passport. Keep up the good work. Sorry if you had any bad experience, they’re working at getting better. Give them the chance.

My first encounter with the embassy was excellent. I mailed in my passport for renewal and I followed every single instruction listed by going to their website. The post master did one mistake for not putting stamp on the return envelope but I received a call from the Embassy that there was no stamp so I have to buy stamp and mail it to them. The stamp was sent the very day with a note attached and I received my passport within a week of sending it before even getting the stamp.

In fact they mailed the renewed passport to me before the stamp reached them and upon receiving the stamp, the called me back asking if I had not received the passport which I confirmed that I was received so they discarded the stamp. 

My advise will be that do a thorough research and follow every single step or instruction and do not expect them to complete anything for you. 

I received my passport within a week after I sent it and that was for the normal processing, not express.

I mailed off the regular application ($100) on Thursday. Today is Wednesday and I have my visa. They received it Friday noon and was complete by Monday. The website says 3 business days so I wasnt expecting it with the thanksgiving holiday tomorrow. 

Ghanaians are excellent people so I did not expect anything less.

This place is the the worst! They Lost my documentation. I Can't get a returned phone call. Now, the phone calls won't even go through. I am risking losing all of my hard earned money that I've paid for my trip. Totally unacceptable!
