I had a great experience on my first visit. The lady at the front desk was very prompt and got me back in a room very quickly. The Dr came in soon there after and asked me questions, got to the point and made a plan to treat. Then his assistant stayed in room and went over details. She was extremely helpful. All in all a very good experience! Would recommend them to anyone!

This is the worst encounter I've ever had with both a doctor and his office. The wait just to see him was outrageous. Expect to be waiting a minimum of an hour past your appointment 'time.' I know sometimes that's just the way it is with some busy doctors, and I could have looked past it if that's all that was wrong. 

Dr. Thampy treated me like trash that wasn't worth his time. When he finally did come in to see me, he was awful. He would not listen to my symptoms and I got the distinct feeling that he was writing off everything I said as 'teenage girl oversensitive to her period'. Turns out I actually have a legitimate health issue, which he might have been able to figure out if he'd cared. (He didn't even consider doing blood work for me.) I've since been diagnosed by another actually competent doctor. 

I'm not exaggerating this. He didn't just fail to listen, he insulted me. I told him I've noticed A LOT of facial hair (again, I was a teenage girl) suddenly growing on my chin and he looked me dead in the face and asked me why I'm telling him. He's an endocrinologist; I have no idea how this could possibly mystify him. He told me I was silly for bringing it up, and that I shouldn't care. He made me cry and he sat there with a deadpan face like he couldn't give one single once of care about it. This is beyond bad bedside manners. He simply lacks any real empathy.

 I was told he was a knowledgeable doctor, but I saw no evidence of that. All he did was print out a sheet of paper with a suggested diet, told me to lose weight and exercise. Like my only issue was that I was fat (I weighed 150 at 5'4" and had put on 50 of that in under 3 months -another symptom he ignored) and it was all in my head. And he was wrong. 

I honestly expected more from someone with a license to practice medicine than what I could have obtained in a basic WebMD search.

Dr. Thampy and his staff have been nothing short of amazing. I see a lot of comments regarding “long wait times”, but I have not experienced that at any of my visits. I think the longest I have had to wait before getting into an examine room was 10 minutes. In fact, I had an unexpected issue a few days ago and he got me in that exact same day! That’s almost unheard of in specialty medicine. It is clear he has years of experience in endocrinology and he was able to help me from my very first visit. I am quite surprised to see the low ratings on here based on how wonderful my interactions with him and his staff have been.

I have been a patient with Dr. Thampy for about five months. I see him very frequently because I have an extremely out of control thyroid. At first, I was not happy with him or the office because he has a ton of patients and the wait is quite long for appointments. He is very nice and encourages people to use the free wifi to work or bring a book if needed since it does take so long. He has the nicest and most comfortable office I've ever experienced with any doctor. He always gives me plenty of attention and never makes me feel like he's rushing to the next patient. He can come off dismissive, but he really is so kind and funny once you get to know him. Everyone in the office is kind and helpful and makes me feel like family, which is not the norm in most offices.

Dr. Thampy is amazing. When I was hospitalized he came to see me in the morning AND the evening almost every day. He was able to diagnose my rare autoimmune disorder when no one else could. As soon as that was figured out he began treating me and my health turned around.
You may have to wait a bit in his office before being seen, but nothing outrageous. Dr. Thampy believes in spending time with each patient and being thorough. His entire staff has been nothing but polite and caring to me. 
Dr. Thampy is such a kind gentleman with a great personality. You might not feel that way at first, but once you get to know him you will realize how caring and funny he is. I would recommend him to everyone in need of a endocrinologist.
