We are very grateful to the staff and administration at Kindred Hospital, St. Anthony's in St. Louis. The facility was clean, quiet, organized, and, most importantly, everyone we encountered was competent and caring. Sadly, our loved one did pass away while at Kindred. The doctors, nurses, therapists, and specialists did everything they could to help her breathing improve. However, her body was facing multiple complicating factors, which became more than she could sustain. I would recommend this hospital to anyone needing specialized ventilator care. From our first day there, we felt that the staff genuinely cared, not only for our loved one, but for our entire family. We were able to speak to nurses and doctors every day about treatment plans and options, either in person, or, when were weren't able to be there, over the phone. We never felt rushed, or that any question was too insignificant. If the first person we asked didn't know the answer, he or she promptly found someone who did. From physical needs to emotional needs, the staff provided our loved one with attentive care - as if she was their very own family member. When it came to the point that continuing with medical interventions was no longer feasible, the caring medical treatment turned more toward palliative care. The immense respect and compassion they had for our loved one was evident in the way they worked to keep her comfortable and to make sure each need was met. I have read and heard a lot of negative things about long term care hospitals. Kindred, St. Anthony's defies the stereotype. From the gentle, healing touches given to the patient, to the loving support given to the family - many thanks to each of you at Kindred.

My stay was excellent. All staff went above and beyond. I don't even remember coming in, I was very confused and on a breathing machine. The staff helped me to figure out my surroundings and keep me going everyday. They helped me to bring it all together and get better. Today I am excited to go home. The food was good the care was even better and I would recommend the facility by all means. I would recommend it for respiratory, rehab, and any Nursing needs. Katy the nurse Manager came to see me daily and assisted with lost belongings from the previous facility, Kati from RT was always there to keep me moving so I could get off the breathing machine. Becky with rehab was awesome we played catch, went for walks, and had great conversations which kept me moving everyday. Thank you so much to everyone I could never repay you all for all that you do each and everyday. This place is full of shining stars!

I live alone. In Janurary of 2018, I had of reoccurance of osteomylitis which would require me to be on I.V. antibiotics for 6-8 weeks at least. When my doctor told me I would have to go through another (2) months worth of antibiotics, my social worker at the bigger hospital I was in suggested to me a place called "Kindred Place". A long term facility. l had not heard of this type of hospital before as the last time I'd gone through this, I was only given the names of a few local nursing homes for rehab patients like myself. I highly suggest if you find that you need to have further long term care you check "Kindred Place" out!! All of the nurses are very freindly, and they have alot of nurses! The doctor's, and staff came in to visit me every day, throughout the day! Anything I needed, they saw to it I received it! No other place I have been in, (and I've been in alot of hospital's in the St. Louis area) is this capable, or this friendly!!

Totally not some place I would want to be. They are understaffed. It takes twenty minutes to get a nurse to answer the call button. I Cannot recommend this this place to worst case scenario.. Completely sucks I'm filing a complaint to the better business bureau.....

Only VERY few nurses/techs/staff are kind and helpful. Been here over a week so far. My mom had to wait over 2 hours for a feeding (multiple times), wait over 45 minutes for someone to help her go to the bathroom (which I just ended doing myself), new shift doesn't introduce themselves, constant bathroom sink leak (smelly water all over floor)...why are we paying to stay here???? We will never come back and tell others how disappointing this place is
